Parents need to educate their children about healthy eating; some will some won’t just like every other thing parents need to teach their children. It is not the government’s job, and they would make it worse if they tried. Expecting the government to solve issues that should be individual responsibility is what got us in the mess we are in.
I am not too worried about all the fat people, I think times are going to get hard enough to solve that issue.
With all the issues we are facing as a country; people being fat should not be a priority.
I understand what you are saying and in theory, I agree 100%. But fat parents tend to produce fat kids, not because of genetics, but because of bad eating and bad nutrition. Expecting a fat parent to teach their fat kids about nutrition, healthy food choices, serving sizes, etc., is like asking alcoholics to teach their kids about the dangers of drinking, slut mothers to teach their daughters about the virtues of abstention, and lazy fathers to teach their kids about the upside of hard work.
