The case is headed to a grand jury but this guys more likely to land on Barbara Walterss couch than in prison. Id be surprised if theres a GJ in America that would indict him; if there is, lord knows its not in Texas. Heres the relevant statute in the states penal code. Not a close call:
(snip)
...Morally, this will be treated as justifiable homicide whether or not its technically self-defense by proxy which, to be clear, I think it is here and any jury would strain mightily to find that it qualified under the definition for the latter. Exit quotation: He got what he well deserved.

Sorry, the story I spoke of (as I indicated in the post) did not happen in Baton Rouge, LA and California in 1984, this happened in Indianapolis, IN in the late 1980s and it was a young girl who was raped and left for dead.
There was no national manhunt in this case. The girl was left in a field, did not die, and was taken to the hospital after being found where she recovered and later identified her assailant.
The story you recount sounds a little similar in terms of what happened to the perp, but is a completely different story. This man was not “convicted” at all, but was found not guilty.
Check things a little more thoroughly before making a staement about facts being completely wrong...of course they are when you are talking about two completely different stories.
Story is not over yet. I expect Sandusky to be found guity and to spend the rest of his life, however long, in prison.
Thanks, it was a typo here on this thread I believe...not on the site it linked to. I’ll ask the mods if they can fix it.
If the guy was interfering with a child, no jury will convict dad of anything. In any case, a guilty pedophile would be assumed to resisting detention with force and the father’s action becomes self defense.
On the other hand, if the guy WAS NOT interfering with or molesting the kid and the dad jumped to an unwarranted conclusion, that is a horse of a different color. I hope that is not the case.
“Probably saved a few more children down the road too.”
No doubts about it.
God bless him.
He needed killin’.
“I do believe a LOT of states wouldnt use common sense with this”
Can you say Floriduh? Just look at what they are doing to Zimmerman. The Northeast isn’t the only crap hole area in the country, not by a long shot! The Marxist Termites are virtually everywhere at some level.
Imo, it is inhuman to expect a father (or mother) to not be swept away by emotion at the sight and sound of such an evil thing.
Justifi-i-i-i-ed.
Watch out for the LaRaza lawsuit from his family in Mexico.
Yup - shoot 'em dead...
...
...then hang 'em.
This dad will be his daughter’s hero for the rest of his life. There’s nothing any child wants more than to feel protected by his or her parents.

Agreed.
I remember my father going around the house every night to make certain that every door was locked. An expression of love.
I had never heard of that one. Thanks.
I think you’ll like it.
Thats as good a reason as I have heard so far.
I agree with you. All I am saying is that you are forever changed. A small part of you dies. No matter justified or not. What a horrific experience daughter and dad had. With time I hope and pray they will get through this OK.

Lavaca County authorities on Friday identified the 47-year-old man who was caught molesting a girl and then beaten to death by the child’s father.
Jesus Mora Flores was killed on the afternoon of June 9 on a rural farm pasture on County Road 302 between Shiner and Yoakum.
In a press release issued Friday, authorities said Flores was attempting to sexually assault the girl, whose age was corrected by officials Friday to be 5 years old.
“When emergency medical personnel arrived, Jesus Mora Flores’ pants and underwear were down and the man’s genitals were exposed,” said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon, who was quoted in a press released issued by District Attorney Heather McMinn.
Flores had been hired by the child’s father to care for horses on the property, according to a neighbor.
A public records search shows no permanent address for Flores in Lavaca County.
The press release also confirms that law enforcement officials discovered a witness to the attacks, but does not identify that person.
Investigators found that “a witness observed Jesus Mora Flores forcibly carrying a 5-year-old child off to a secluded area, the witness ran for help and alerted the child’s father.”
The father then heard the child’s scream and ran to help her, the release said. The father then “immediately removed Jesus Mora Flores from on top of his child” and inflicted “several blows” to the man’s head and neck area.
The release stated that all of the physical evidence and witness statements in the case corroborated the father’s statement.
Harmon said Flores was not in the United States illegally and possessed a permanent resident card - more widely known as a green card.
The sheriff said his office has been working with Mexican Consulate officials to locate Flores’ family.
Complete results of the autopsy conducted in Travis County are not expected for several weeks.
Harmon said the girl’s family and father have cooperated with authorities.
McMinn said in the press release that Harmon “made the right decision in not arresting the father at the time of the incident.”
The girl’s father remains remorseful about Flores’ death, said Harmon, who said he expects a grand jury to hear the case next week.
“This case has been very traumatizing on the child, her father and his entire family,” he said.
