Children show their creative imaginations in some intriguing ways. The artwork and storytelling they engage in often illustrates the ideas that are bopping around inside of their heads. Take, for instance, a student-drawn picture at Hamilton Elementary School in Fresno, California. The image, which has become intensely controversial, portrays Jesus Christ, with a caption that reads, I want you to kill all infidels.
Under this shocking line are two others: meet me in Jerusalem and get a free ticket to heaven. Obviously, the picture, which is hanging prominently in the schools lobby along with others, is causing a stir. While some claim its merely a creative work spawned by a childs imagination, others see anti-Christian sentiment at play. A 7th-grade student, who has not been named in media, created the drawing as part of a history assignment.
Hamilton elementary has been quiet in terms of handing the criticism. A spokesperson for the Fresno Unified School District issued a statement to ABC30, telling the outlet the following about the pictures creation:
Students at Hamilton were assigned to create a help wanted poster for soldiers needed to fight in the crusades and write a poem about Joan of arc, the Black Death, or the Magna Carta and create a visual background for it. This was one of several posters displayed.

IOW, the kid understood the assignment AND knows his history! That poster is a brilliant commentary on the attitudes of the time and how Christ & Christianity were misused.
It’s interesting how much different Mohammed’s words sound when they are superimposed on an image of Jesus Christ.
And your post is an idiotic denial of the fact that the assignment was created for political propaganda purposes, to try to equate Christianity of the Middle Ages with the murderous barbarism of the Muslims today all over the world. You also ignor the fact that no such "poster" reflecting current events about Muslims killing all infidels would ever be allowed on that schools walls for a second.
Stupid or paid shill - which are you?
For instance, replace Jesus with Mohammed in the picture, and have him say the same thing, and the image suddenly becomes non-controversial.
If the leader of the Christian religion were to embrace such a murderous message as portrayed in the cartoon, the reaction from the lamestream media would be one of unequivocal horror.
Thus the hypocrisy of the media is exposed, because no such negative reaction occurs when exactly the same message is propagated by those who follow the religion of Islam.
the Crusades were a defensive war. I suggest you look into the real story of the Crusades and not accept the leftist distortion taught in schools.
It works for me as an anti-islamic poster, showing how ridiculous it would be if Christ was the same as Mohammed.
Interesting take on history. The word crusades calls back to a point where the christians were engaged in active warfare against the muslims. I think the kid was just calling it as he see’s it.
very well drawn. incredible concept. no it should not be taken down. this is what real art is, it evokes controversy, and it shows real talent. this is holding up a mirror to the enemy. the bill mahers, this is what they think.
bill maher is the asshole that bought the cross in the jar of urine. then the mets.
“I think the kid was just calling it as he sees it.”
Yes, but we should ask, who taught the kid that the Crusade was about killing all the infidels? I doubt he imagined that on his own. It’s a very common anti-Christian/atheist talking point, and since this drawing was created as part of a follow-up assignment to a history class, I suspect the teacher is the source of this idea in the kid’s head.
Smells to me like typical leftie hijinks of brainwashing kids with their viewpoint under cover of teaching them. Could well be the parents or someone else in the kids life teaching them this, but the teacher would be my first suspect.
Oh geez....
An assignment to make a recruitment poster for the crusades = equating Christianity of the Middle Ages with the murderous barbarism of the Muslims today all over the world.
Oh, my bad - in defensive wars one does not need to recruit soldiers .....
“That poster is a brilliant commentary on the attitudes of the time and how Christ & Christianity were misused.”
The Crusades were the first wars on islamic terrorism. It’s a shame they weren’t pursued to the utter distruction of that satanic death cult.
That's absolutely correct in all respects. Thank you for a factual synopsis of what The Crusades were all about. The liberals have succeeded in rewriting history to conform to their evil agenda. And some in this thread have bought into those lies.
I think that is what it’s about. It’s a sardonic parody.
Agreed. Nations and peoples have a right to defend themselves and Islam is & was a constant major threat - then probably moreso than now, at least militarily. However, the intwinement of religion into the war, especially as a justification for it, is problematic.
The boy who drew the poster seems to have grasped the concepts involved and has illustrated them in a thought provoking manner.
It’s as artistic as the rest of the crap you see today.
