The conspiracy theory since 2010 is that the plane crash at Smolensk (on the way to Katyn) of former President Kaczyńskiej was engineered by the Russians

Kaczyńskiej opposed being friendly to the Germans and Russians

The plane crash killed 93 Polish intelligencia -- to them it was like a second Katyń when Stalin's boys killed off thousands of Polish officers and intelligentsja

Do I believe it -- kinda. I initially taught that was too stupid of the Russians, but looking at Putin's foolish attempt to intimidate his neighbors to the west instead of worrying about the Moslems to the south and the chinese to the east.

I’ll tell you how conspiracy theories start. Just like the game of Telephone, or this thread, as a matter of fact. Someone hears something, changes it a bit, and passes it along to another someone who makes things up.

And so, there was no Polish Prime Minister murdered, and, a minor detail, there were 96 on the board of the plane.

That the Russians caused the accident is doubtful.
