Your reasoning seems realistic. On the otherhand it could quite simply be the state crushing both Zimmerman and his wife; thus teaching all of us not to resist black assaults unless we wish to be put through legal hell.
Or maybe to shoot, bury and shut up. Kinda like when you kill a wild animal.
