An 18-year-old man was charged along with seven teenagers who were charged with mob action following a series of muggings carried out Saturday night by groups of attackers, including one that left a visitor from Michigan hospitalized with a broken jaw.

Sudden Reparations Syndrome.
The youth gangs are coming up from the South Side, and invading formerly safe areas. This is very disturbing that this sort of thing keeps happening.
The gangs didn’t used to be so brazen about this. The gangs used to know their place and stay in their own neighborhoods.
I may get flamed for this. But, if the mayhem and chaos of the ghetto is going to spread to downtown and nice areas such as the Near North Side, areas where affluent residents live and tourists visit, is that good for the city of Chicago?
This article mentions upcoming events in the city such as Taste of Chicago. Do mob attacks such as this encourage, or discourage, people coming into the city?
Yep, the liberals might say, that these people are grappling with poverty, and are troubled by the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow, thus they commit crime.
I wonder if the liberals view of these people will change, if liberals more and more become the victims of mob attacks.
they have to start having the same punishments for violent juveniles as adults and put them away for a good ten years in a very hard labor work camp.

Drugs like ‘bath salts’, cocaine, heroin, meth, etc. have the effect of lowering the persona to a primitive state. What we’re seeing is the junglizing of youth, black and white (here in E.TN it is the white youth being junglized via drug pyrolation of the brain). The primitive brain seeks stimulus. The culture feeds the freenzy mode via video games and over sexualized programming, while the illicit drug trafficking grows wealthy via the weeds they raise in the garden of a dying Republic.
Poverty my posterior. They do it because they like it, and they are being taught to do it from an early age.
Some liberals won’t see the light until they are beckoned to come into it.
Somebody wrote a song called “The Reparations Rap”. I heard a recording once of him singing it at some public event. The refrain was “I want my money, I want my money.........”

Well any fool that comes for an armed citizen’s gold make find the exchange rate will be in copper and brass.
Between political correctness run amok, utterly inept policing that’s leaving peaceful areas unprotected while trying to control the free-fire zones, and an unconscionable refusal by the city to hire more cops, downtown Chicago is coming unglued.
I refuse to go into the city any more than I absolutely have to.
An 18-year-old “man” and several “teens.” But if an intended victim shot one of them, suddenly they would be “our kids.”
I’m afraid I would cheer, and if my own children (an 18-year-old “man” and some “teens”) acted like that, I’d want them shot, too. People doing bad things should be stopped, period.
What are "more cops" going to accomplish, if the thugs are back on the street before the paperwork is done? The thugs need to be taken off the streets, as a first priority.
