Spanish prime minister to attend Euro 2012 opener day after reaching $125 billion bailout deal

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said Sunday he would travel to watch the country's Euro 2012 soccer opener in Poland, just one day after Spain announced it would seek international help to rescue its stricken banks.

"I am going because the Spanish team are world champions and I think it is good that the head of government be at this inaugural game," Rajoy told a news conference.

And they get to keep their 3 month vacations with the bailout. I wonder how many bailouts Germany will give them until they send in the Panzers.

In the Euro 2012 groupings group C which consists of Italy, Spain, Ireland and Croatia have been nicknamed the group of debt. It’s a takeoff of the oft nicknamed group of death which has been applied to other soccer tournament groupings in the past. Greece or Portugal instead of Croatia would have made the group complete.
