Sanctuary city is a term given to a city in the United States that follows certain practices that protect illegal immigrants. These practices can be by law (de jure) or they can be by habit (de facto). The term generally applies to cities that do not allow municipal funds or resources to be used to enforce federal immigration laws, usually by not allowing police or municipal employees to inquire about one's immigration status. The designation has no legal meaning.

These cities have adopted "sanctuary" ordinances banning city employees and police officers from asking people about their immigration status

Yesterday the story was an illegal who ran over a cop. That perp got 55 years in jail. How much you want to bet this guy will get 8-10 years for running down a non-cop. In Phoenix, about a week ago, a drunk, wrong-way driver hit and killed a 17 year-old local high school student. By every account she was a great kid. A week has gone by and finally a story comes out in the media (which the other media is hiding), that the once unidentified man is here ILLEGALLY. The father of the victim, says it best. Might as well call Washington a sanctuary state. The department of licensing here makes no effort to stop illegals from getting licenses, a critical component for illegals to maneuver in and around the economy. Even if they are criminal deportees, illegals have so little fear in Washington state that they routinely use their real names to get the licenses. I’m sure they sign up to vote at the same time thanks to Motor Voter.

There was a hit and run fatality in Anacortes this week. The driver of the car, lost a license plate at the scene. The car is owned by an illegal alien, a woman from Mount Vernon, but she claims that she was not driving the car and that the woman who was driving has left the area.

I don’t know if the story about the lost license plate is true. That was from a post on the local paper. The driver of the car is evidently, in jail, since hours after the accident.

Why is it not being reported that she is an illegal alien.
