I have tried EVERYTHING!
I guess it’s always possible that you are watching a video that has audio that is copyrighted. And as a result, YouTube bans the audio portion and the video is allowed to freely play.
Exactly my point. :)
Check your speakers/volume/sound controls on your computer.
I notice that Win7 sometimes starts up with the speakers muted. Why? I have no clue. That is just another one of the many strange things Windows does for no apparent reason.
Also, do you have headphones plugged in. I noticed on the Gateway I bought last fall that, plugging the headphones into the rear port mutes the speakers, whereas plugging the headphones into the front port allows the speakers to also play.
Yes, but if you set your computer to 22-bit or lower, it will not work. If you set your computer to 65-bit or higher, it will... I don't want to say. It is just too terrible to even think about. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Another YouTube question....
When i attempt to download a video, I get an error message of “Unable to Download”
Same error message in IE or Chrome.
It was downloading fine....then it wasn’t.
Any help would be appreciated.
THAT’S the first thing I would’ve suggested....give us one your not getting sound on...
If you’re using an Apple, hit F10 to see if you have inadvertently muted the sound. F11 reduces the volume and F12 increases. sd
Does anyone have guidance on how to save a youtube video to your hard-drive?
Thanks!
How does this compare to RealPlayer which I have been using?
It looks like it may be a Mozilla Problem. I pulled You Tube up in Google Chrome and it(thus far) appears to be working.
I was using RealPlayer which was doing fine...until recently when I began getting “Unable to Download” error.
Sure - with nine bits left over.
That's over a dollar!
*schuggs*....I don’t download vids from YT....I save to my account but don’t save them on my puter
I have the same problem on a Vista system, it will work fine for a while then suddenly no audio. And if the computer upgrades, that always knocks it out till I restart.Good Luck
..is your real player up to date?
What I do is make this into a bookmark in the bookmarks bar.
Then visit the youtube video you want, and choose the bookmark.
you have the latest edition of ADOBE?...the flash player?
Yes.
Yes, updated earlier this week to be sure I had current version.
That damn OwlGore - always screwing up the internet thang!
