A lot of music videos have their sound turned off due to copyright issues. So they play the video only. What I do to get around it is download the MP3 off iTunes and then I play the MP3 while the video runs. That will show them!
That's called outsmarting them at their own game!

Make certain that Adobe Flash player (both IE AND non-IE) are up to date. Be certain to install correct version - as there is a 23bit and 64 bit version of each
Find Adobe Flash Player on this page (from FileHippo.com), select the proper version of each for DL, shut off all browsers, and run the resulting two files.
If no joy, then make certain the youtube vids you are looking at have not been sound disabled because of copyright restrictions - There is a notice on each page respectively if such is the case.
