The Obama-tied community organization supposedly shut down after a series of exposés about its illegal activities. The article adds "supposedly" here at the close. There were numerous early stories that ACORN never did shut down, but merely changed its name to various other names.
I haven't seen any followup on that, but if true, it really needs to be investigated and broadcast, and congress needs to find some further way to shut down funding. Here we are in another election year, and presumably ACORN is still a major player in cheating at the polls.
