Of course Obama opposes it. Most likely the investigation would lead straight to him.

He can "not support" it all he wants.

Clinton didnt support a DNA test done on the blue dress either.

I expect t the "No controlling legal authority" banner to be hung out any time.

===================================

But "as a general matter … the president feels very strongly that we must prevent leaks of classified or sensitive information that could risk ongoing counterterrorism or intelligence operations," Carney said. "He will not countenance the leaking of classified information that could harm our men and women in uniform, or Americans who work on our national security."

And that statement is a LIE.

White House gave Kathryn Bigelow access to SEAL Team 6 commander, CIA 'vault'

Serious breech of security and protocol.

Article 104—Aiding the enemy

“Any person who—

(1) aids, or attempts to aid, the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or

(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or protects or gives intelligence to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly; shall suffer death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.”
.....
(4) Giving intelligence to the enemy. (a) That the accused, without proper authority, knowingly gave intelligence information to the enemy; and (b) That the intelligence information was true, or implied the truth, at least in part.
.....
Scope of Article 104. This article denounces offenses by all persons whether or not otherwise subject to military law. Offenders may be tried by court-martial or by military commission.
...
(6) Communicating with the enemy.

(a) Nature of the offense. No unauthorized communication, correspondence, or intercourse with the enemy is permissible. The intent, content, and method of the communication, correspondence, or intercourse are immaterial. No response or receipt by the enemy is required. The offense is complete the moment the communication, correspondence, or intercourse issues from the accused. The communication, correspondence, or intercourse may be conveyed directly or indirectly.

=======================

Impeach the Son-of-a-bitch and throw him jail...or give him the suitable punishment as as a court-martial or military commission may direct.

Congress has oversight over him whether he likes it or not.

Are you suggesting that President Barack Hussein Mountain Dew Obama Comacho has a co-equal branch of the government that can investigate him without obtaining his permission? That’s just crazy talk...

Yes, but the folks in the White House don’t have security clearances to be revoked, and the Prez is the “National Command Authority”, who determines what is and isn’t classified.
He could even post date an executive order and pretend it declassified the material.

BUT, it’s good that DiFi came out and put the White House on notice that this must stop.

“No” was not an acceptable answer during Watergate, but “No” is the preferred response by this criminal administration. And NO ONE will force the issue.

Someone may be leaking details of Fast and Furious. All investigators need to be on important leaks like that. No time for looking into minor things like leaking classified military or other national security information.

Besides, we know we are innocent in the national security leaks, so an independent investigator would be a waste of taxpayer money.
