When I was a teenager, there was a television show called Julia that (according to Wikipedia) "[was] notable for being one of the first weekly series to depict an African American woman in a non-stereotypical role." Julia (played by the very pretty Diahanne Carroll) had a son named Corey. The show ran from September 1968 until March 1971.

Cory Booker was born in April 1969. Just sayin'.
