“””Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a frequent ally of McCain’s, said he believed “completely” that the leaks came from the White House. “”””

The little woman finally got one right.

>"Outrage has snowballed since Friday’s The New York Times story detailing the “Stuxnet” cyberattack against Iran, in which U.S. officials were cited as sources."

Did giving them a fully loaded drone make it any better?

As Krauthammer said tonight Scooter Libby was crucified for an alleged lead infinitesimal to what was done this week and he didn't even do it.

Krauthammer makes an excellent point.

Thanks bd476.
While both Democrats and Republicans have criticized the leaks, Republican lawmakers have pushed harder against the Obama administration, with many lawmakers calling for a special prosecutor to investigate and a small group led by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) accusing the administration of leaking to boost President Obama's image in an election year... Rogers offered support for a special counsel, saying Thursday it was possible that the "sources of these leaks could be in position to influence these investigations." ...But Feinstein, after meeting with Clapper, said she was not sure yet whether there should be a special counsel appointed. "A special prosecutor could take years... We don't have years." Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a frequent ally of McCain's, said he believed "completely" that the leaks came from the White House. "Blow-by-blow description of what happens in the situation room -- unless they've opened up the situation room discussions to tour groups through the White House, you would assume that people in that room are pretty high up..."
Feinstein makes no effin' sense, but she's got her own private corruptions involving the taxpayer to worry about hiding.

“:Not all Republicans are calling for a special counsel, however. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said he was concerned about the leaks but did not directly answer a question about supporting McCain.”

“possibly giving authorities more power to question journalists”

Lovely...

White House rejects special counsel for national security leaks

So, now; what can be done? What recourse does Congress have to get this thing investigated? Anybody? Help me out here.

This news about computer viruses, designed by big outfits, like an entire country IS BIG. These backdoors are now out in the open. We may well be looking at World War 3 because of these technologies being reveled.

There was no need for the public to learn any of this.

Congress itself can investigate -- as Issa's Government Oversight Committee is regarding "Fast & Furious". But they have no power to prosecute.

Any prosecution will have to be conducted by a special prosecutor -- the appointment of which is subject to the approval of the President, whereupon the prosecutor would be appointed by the Attorney General.

Good luck with that...

Boehner continually acts as if the White House has blackmail goods on him.

There is no question in my mind that Obama’s people are doing it. I remember him whining about a year ago that he has done a bunch of good things that people don’t know about. Now he has a feature film done about him killing Bin Laden with all kinds of info about how the process works. We have also found out that his campaign advisor Axelrod actually attends the top secret security meetings where the Bamster determines who gets killed next. Obama will do anything to get re-elected and trashing our national security in the process isn’t even a worry to him.
