Poll gives Obama 12-point lead in Pa.

President Barack Obama now holds a double-digit lead over Republican Mitt Romney for Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes in the presidential election, a Franklin & Marshall College Poll released this morning shows. The Democratic incumbent, whose campaign has been forced to defend his handling of the economy, holds a 12-point lead over the former Massachusetts governor, the statewide poll found. Obama's sizable lead underscores a pair of critical problems for Romney — his inability to connect with voters or paint a clear picture of how he would handle the country's problems, F&M political analyst G. Terry Madonna said. "I think the bigger problem is he doesn't have an economic plan. Just to criticize the president in Pennsylvania doesn't seem to be enough," Madonna said.

Oh, how quaint, but it’s NOT NOVEMBER yet. I don’t care how far ahead Obama is.

LOL.

Yeah, polls also said that the recall election in Wisconsin were 50/50—too close to call.

*snicker*

Right, building on the momentum of his stunning success in Wisconson...

I'm not saying Obama doesn't have a lead but the 12 point advantage was achieved by a ridiculous over sampling of Democrats.

The poll of 412 registered voters — 207 Democrats, 154 Republicans and 51 independents — was conducted May 29 through Monday by F&M's Center for Opinion Research. Its margin of error is 4.8 percentage points.

Local ABC news (Philly) ignored the WI recall election result and ran with this poll story instead.

With the anchor (a scarecrow if ever there is one who needs a brain urgently) smirking ‘Obama WIDENs the lead over Romney’.

Also, they sampled “registered voters”. Likely voters is a better gauge and tend to be better for Romney.

After last night's results in WI, nobody should believe the polls. All day yesterday I kept hearing that it was either too close to call or Walker would squeak in. It was a blowout!!!

I swear, these pollsters are just part of the MSM's propaganda machine. They're designed to discourage conservative turnout.

I don't know about anyone else, but yesterday's WI results showed me that first off, the polls are not worth the paper they''re printed on , and that the Tea Party is alive and well.

I'll even go out on a limb here after last night and say Barry is toast and good riddance!!!

Ridiculous poll. 412 random people?

WTF!

I am convinced that the leftists are trying to game the RCP ratings by releasing these ridiculous polls since they all get weighted in the overall RCP mix.

I stick mostly w Ras and Gallup. the rest are sketchy.

Lived in PA for 52 years and moved last year. I am hiding in NC as of now.

Trying to wait out the election in November when Obama loses.

After that I am headed to the most CONSERVATIVE state in the USA with right to work being part of the decision process.

ThePitts-burgh,Filthy-Delphia and Dreary-Erie areas trump my vote every time.

Registered voters rather than likely voters no doubt, which makes the poll less than worthless.

Pennsylvania elected conservative Republicans as governor and senator last year as well as 12 of 19 of the state’s congresspeople. Sure, Mr. Obama is so “popular” in the State that he is winning by a landslide.

PA is one of those teaser states that tease the GOP candidate to thinking one has a chance and on election day it’s a typical easy win for the D. Although with Romney seeming to have no problem with money no harm in throwing a couple of million at PA.
