Everybody feel free to destroy me on here, but $3k would be a start towards getting parathyroid surgery I could really use.
Or I could be an idiot and buy a $2000 guitar.
Yes, thingamabobs are much better . . .
besides, ain’t thingamajigs racist?
The folks who are GETTING the free stuff, don't like the folks who are PAYING for the free stuff, because the folks who are PAYING for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.
And, the folks who are PAYING for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop.
And the folks who are GETTING the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!
Now... The people who are forcing the people who Pay for the free stuff to pay for it have told the people who are GETTING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.
So... the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are PAYING for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place.
We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people GETTING free stuff than PAYING for the free stuff.
Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 235 years ago. The number of people now GETTING free stuff outnumbers the people PAYING for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

Hey, on the bright side, you'd still have a grand left over to buy an amplifier or a television...or save yhe $1k and in a year or so be able to buy half a loaf of bread.
Is a $3,000 thingamaJIG (obama said it, not me!) on the furnace one of those things that makes the house cool in hot weather? I always wondered what they called those.
I like that idea, I could pay off my debt with worthless money.
I’m not sure what’s more nauseating...the “Oh boy, more free stuff” leeches or the Obastard saying “I’ll give you $3,000 to vote for me.”
Because then only “The RICH” will benefit, donchaknow.
They’re called “thingama-persons-of-color”.
How can the moonbats claim conservatives and libertarians are hurting the environment when they [progressives] support the unsustainable infinite growth, infinite consumption paradigm that is Keynesian Economics, when we live on finite planet? Nuts.
Obama is being true to form. He's already given us cash for clunkers and $8,000 towards purchase of a house so $3,000 for thingamajigs make perfect sense. Now if only he could pop $2,000 for a whatchamacallit, then I'll stop making fun of his ears and Michelle's boob belt...........
As Thomas Paine once said:
Give me thingamabobsor give me DOOHICKEYS!!!
Because 1/2 the country wouldn’t get any money to spend on thingamabobs.
Not where I live. I need a new furnace and I'm looking at at least $4000.
WTF? He wants to ‘give’ people 3K? Where’s it come from, ‘cause last time I looked, we were broke.
Give me a 3K tax break, I’ll take care of the rest.
Is this guy economically stunted, stupid, or what?
Actually, I believe the reference is to the same $3,000 figure as the Kenyan Clown gave during his weekly radio address: Right now, Congress should give every responsible homeowner the opportunity to save an average of $3,000 a year by refinancing their mortgage. (link)
If so, then that hypothetical $3,000 would come from squeezing the banking industry; though, so far, all of the coerced "refinancing" schemes from the politicos have been a joke: the uptake has been virtually zero on any of them — the main reason of course is that the implementation is left up to the banks which have no interest in doing any coerced refinancings.
The biggest joke of course is the most recent "$25 billion foreclosure settlement"; so far, the only beneficiaries have been the states, which have received a few large checks and cashed them.
I don't think that even one mortgage has actually been refinanced yet under the new settlement agreement, nor do I expect to see any more than a token amount ever processed.
Here’s how it REALLY works: Obama’s people - democrats - each get $3,000. So do we. But with us - middle class conservatives - there’s a hitch - we get the money but we have to pay back $6,000- to cover the cost of those getting to keep the cash...
“WTF? He wants to give people 3K? Wheres it come from, cause last time I looked, we were broke.”
He doesn’t want everyone to get it. He’ll tax us to pay for it.
