The Queen is marking her Diamond Jubilee this year and celebrations reach a peak in early June with a four-day weekend of events, between Saturday 2 and Tuesday 5 June.

The Queen was amazing......86 years old and she stood for more than two hours in the cold and rain.
Bet she was glad to get back home and have a cup of tea - or something stronger.
Congratulations, your Majesty!
Dang, you beat me to it. Given the Euro-zone and Brussels bureaucrats, it may well be apt to say "there is no future, and England's dreaming".
Boy am I getting old. I never even heard of 7 of the entertainers.
Well we sure have a President that acts like he is a king.
Their agents are, unless you think the Agenda 21 is some kind of obscure conspiracy theory, which would mean you have no clue. If you value your liberty at all, I suggest you check out the UN International Covenant on Environment and Development, because it would codify most of the Agenda 21 into international law, totally outside the control of American citizens.
Obama is predisposed to sign the draft treaty. If you think that doesn't mean anything 'because the Senate has to ratify it' I've got bad news for you.
It was very nice, wasn’t it? I thought the raising of Tower drawbridge was a great touch.
More conspiracy theory nonsense.
Another question, are you a member of the LaRouche movement??
World Wildlife Fund, which has done as much to destroy wildlife habitat as help it because the organisation is totally opposed to private property.
Congrats to the Queen!
No.
Well you sound like one..
There are a considerable number of well established FReepers besides me who would be happy to disabuse you. But seeing as you you chose not to read any of the material I linked, I'm not going to bother. Enjoy your trip.
Well that figures. Do yourself a favor and read the material I linked before flinging loose accusations.
Yes it was a nice touch.....all the years I worked in the City of London never saw the bridge fully open.
The BBC could have done a better job in their coverage. One example.....on board the Dunkirk little ships were two veterans who were actually there - one is 92 and the other 95 - never got a mention.
Also there was little focus on the "Avenue of Sail" Some interesting vessels there.
They'll do a much better job on Tuesday. Services in St Paul's and royal carriage processions are familiar territory to broadcasters.
Yep. :)
What’s to rail about? Even most Americans are kindly disposed to the European Monarchies, with the possible exception of the racist “Great Uniter.”
I’m not worshiping the Queen nor pretending the bloodline thing is wonderful. I can’t stand them. And they do have nasty influence around the globe. Charles is big on globalist warming. He wants global taxes on energy for his global government, badly. It’s his dream come true. Royalists should not have power in a democracy when it touches those who have thrown off the monarchy.
More conspiracy theory nonsense.
I think Kevin might be a communist. :)
