The Queen is marking her Diamond Jubilee this year and celebrations reach a peak in early June with a four-day weekend of events, between Saturday 2 and Tuesday 5 June.

Monday... A special concert organised by the BBC and singer Gary Barlow will be held at Buckingham Palace. It will be attended by the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family in the surroundings of the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace. Guests, who were granted tickets by ballot, will also be invited to attend a Jubilee picnic in the Buckingham Palace Gardens. The concert will begin at 19:30BST.

Headline acts include classic hits and one-off collaborations from artists including Shirley Bassey, Alfie Boe, Jools Holland, Jessie J, JLS, Elton John, Tom Jones, Lang Lang, Annie Lennox, Madness, Paul McCartney, Cliff Richard and Ed Sheeran.

No doubt streamed live as the River Thames Pageant was today.

I can't think of a single country that still embraces royalty that is a threat to world peace or its own people, with the possible exception of the "comic book" African variety.

On the other hand, scores of "democratic' republics world-wide, including many of the countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference which are murdering savages towards their own people and a threat to the civilized world; to say nothing of the banana republics in our own hemisphere.

What's to rail about? Even most Americans are kindly disposed to the European Monarchies, with the possible exception of the racist "Great Uniter."

Well then you need to learn more about how royalty works these days. From Bernhard to the Brits, royals are prime sponsors of UN NGOs: Greenpeace, the IUCN, and the WWF. It was on Prince Charles' yacht that GHWB signed the Agenda 21. So just because you don't see it doesn't make them a threat to liberty.

Have you not watched the news for the past 50 years? Some Americans worship the Kennedys more than the Brits bow to royalty. And the Kennedys have done far worse for our country than the Queen has ever thought about.

Right now our founding fathers in heaven is laughing at King George the III in how they depend on us for the military protection. Yes, liberals have the same disease, because every one of them fancies themselves king or queen. It is that very same malady that induces people the desire to use government to control others.
