RE: the big green flop that Diogenes seems so happy about....

Off the top, musing simply from the headlines (which are probably misleading and twisted as a way to counter Romney's devastating Solyndra attack) could it not be said that :
that particular solar company is 6 to 10 years old
and now faltering from competition, paid for by US taxpayers, and probably competing on an unbalanced playing field.

My initial reaction is that Alexrod had to dig deep to find something to counter Solyndra, facts be damned. It's a safe bet the circumstances are not equal. I'll await the details to see how Obie twisted this one.

He is so aptly named. He was a big Wall Street investor who was accused of churning retirement funds for the NYC cops and then named the head of GM. He had absolutely no experience in the auto industry and named GM CEO because he was a big bundler for the campaign. Ratner is an insult to rats.

Morning AB, All....

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread. It’s nice to get up in the morn, think, “today’s Sunday, talk show thread”, make some coffee and doing the morning puttering arounds, with someone else setting up the thread and getting all the info. So I do appreciate.

Daughter/granddaughter visited, son-in-law too, I just dunno but they been married almost ten years, are devoted to their daughter, but there’s issues.

Daughter/granddaughter came to church fashion show, featuring...TDA...ME!

Heh.

Well I didn’t fall down and was well received. What an experience, I had to prance through the tables, stop so women could touch my clothes, check the price tags.

The narrator she’s got some kind of story she’s telling about your outfit and we’re supposed to kind of act out the story. Like, if she says something “our model is going to the beach, where she can remove her top with just a shrug,”...and the model then pretends to be shrugging off her top....

Just heh.

I think I was going to a family reunion and my great big BRIGHT BLUE handbag was filled with photos. So I had to stop and pretend I was rummaging through my photos. Some dropped to the ground and I had to bend over comfortably in my cropped pants with “give”.

You should be HEHing all over the place by now.

I won a door prize, 8 year old, youngest attendee, was so excited. She adored the show and looked closely at every outfit. I told her that she should pick one outfit and I will give it to her mother as a birthday gift as bday was a week ago and first time I’ve seen the daughter.

Heh.

Well hey, these are the things that make the good times.

They’re now headed home but it was real nice, you should smile.

Watching Wallace now, will pay attention.

Chris Wallace was playing from the democrat playbook this morning when questioning Ed Gillespie.

Ed’s not exactly dynamic but he did have a few facts at his command. And the whole debate made me wonder about statistics.

Chris’s statistics (about the economy during Romney’s stint as governor) were the polar opposite of those of Ed.

I always said the only statistics I believe are the ones I make up myself and this seems to be a good motto.

The dems are masters of manipulating and lying about statistics.

Chris kept trying to get Ed to say why the Republicans wouldn’t pass some of the measures that Obama is so frantically working on (between golf games, of course).

I wish Ed would have refuted some of those specifically.

For example Obama’s brilliant idea about rewarding small business by giving them a few thousand bucks for a new hire is just pathetic.

It would have been refreshing to see a fast talking, totally informed guy like Newt refute that crapola but Ed must be a good campaign manager even if he’s not a brilliant talker.

The regime is super slick the way they go after Gov. Rick Scott of Fla. in his deletion of illegals from the voter rolls.

They are using every loophole in the law they can find like you can't change voter rolls 60 days before an eleciton and there is a primary or some election in Fla.

The regime is desperate to keep voter fraud in the mix.I think they realize that without enough voter fraud they don't have a prayer.

What a nice post.

Love that bit about statistics.

Hey, I like Ed Gillespie. Like you said, he’s a tad , eh, dull, but he’s personable and knows his stuff.

Got to wonder where the hell Chris Wallace got his statistics.

Cause statistics do come in all shapes and sizes, no?

You would think the regime would be ashamed of their unabashed effort to stop states from trying to prevent voter fraud.

It’s just totally obvious that they WANT voter fraud and apparently don’t care who knows it.

What Rush does and what we can do here is to shine the light on their defense of illegals staying on the voting rolls. It wont poll well and will quickly turn the dems into Dracula lite running for their caskets to get out of the light of day.

You know.....the voter fraud issue is a strange one.

I think plenty of people would care about voter fraud but this sort of thing in Florida....most of America just doesn’t understand the issue.

What SHOULD happen, and I get old, is for that very same Ed Gillespie I was flattering to get out and bring it home to the average American.

I know the Repubs don’t have the same bullhorns as the Democrats. Which is why they have to coordinate a MASSIVE publicity campaign, which would require cooperation of the local parties....it would be a bit like herding cats. The Repubs need a REAL leader to do this and nobody ties up their “leaders” more than the Republican party.

We had a lady in our party come in and gave a demonstration of her committee (this is the Sussex county Republican party....doing stuff here....listen up) and their audit of the local rolls. This is legal and should be throughout the country, for the citizens to demand to see the voter roles. Transparancy and all that.

My goodness, in one little burg here in the swamps, they found three dead voters, two that moved out of the state...a bunch of others, non-eligible, but on the voter rolls.

Now most of this sort of thing was more horrible bookkeeping and computer crash sort of thing, a bunch of gubmint bureaucrats can’t even keep up a list.

So why can’t the Republican party across this country do the same thing? Do an audit of a local town, typical.

Then publicize the results, which will be horrific.

Ah....let me shut up.

The Republic party will be lucky if it even stays together.

Medea Benjamin. Witch and traitor. Good quote though.

Still, before he leaves office, it would be nice if Obama sent a drone or two to the nags at Code Pink!

Axlerod up, spewing the RATpoints, MA 47th in job creation, whining about Romney supporters booing him.

27 months of private sector job growth, looking for construction jobs, teacher jobs GOP architects of destruction need to take off their political hats and fix the problems of the economy

He’s lying so fast I can’t keep up.

All the things the president was trying to get Congress to act on are down and need attention.

Schieffer asking about Obama’s initial negative attack on Romney.

Omigosh. Just watched the first segment on Meet the Press.

Is it too late to nominate John Kasich for president?

I guess it is, but what a guy. I was afraid that Gregory was going to successfully stifle Kasich from talking as he began by letting the smooth current gov. of Mass give a long speech uninterrupted and then immediately interrupted Kasich.

Kasich proved more than a match. Without sounding frantic or fast talking, he easily dominated the discussion with facts.

Interestingly, the statistics about Gov. Romney’s performance in Mass came up again and were identical to those on Fox News Sunday.

The regime has sent out their talking points re these statistics but, for once, the Reblicans seem to be ahead of the game. They are coming out armed with their own statistics and the hosts don’t seem to know what to do with it.

I’m not sure who to credit for this, but I think I’ll credit Romney. He’s run a smooth campaign to get the nomination and he seems to be running a smooth campaign against Obama.

I like it.

Incontinent Bob smiles as he repeats Axlerod’s remark about their positive campaign ads.

Obama not talking about Bain Capital now. Hitler talking about Bain “raiding” a company.

Axlerod denying Sheiffer’s assertion that he was at meetings where Obama was deciding which terrorists to kill.

He asks about Axlerod and Holder having a “chest-to-chest” shouting match, Valerie Jarret asked them to take it in the hall.

Again, Hitler lies and denies the event happened.

Prebius up talking about Solyndra crony capitalism. People voicing their political views somewhat normal (Boston protestors)

Not a bad effort at all and Kasich also pointed out the very small number of actual jobs created by the govt bailout of the auto industry, compared to jobs created in other fields.

He had the facts to refute all their talking points. I’m gonna give Kasich an A on his performance today.
