Speaking at the North Carolina GOP Convention, Trump praised Romney for his business experience and promise to stand up against China and fight for American economic interests. But the business mogul also focused a portion of his speech on his questions about where President Obama was born. It is the reason why on Tuesday, when Romney earned the 1,144 delegates necessary to secure his party's nomination, much of the news cycle was devoted to his decision to appear with Trump at a fundraiser that day.
A desire by the media to protect Obama is the reason Trump told the more than 1,000 people gathered here that reporters are "really dishonest" and "the biggest thing Mitt Romney has to fear is the press. They don't tell the truth."
And during his address, Trump again used his appearance as a platform to question the president's birth certificate, the reason he has branded himself as a controversial figure on the national political scene. Calling for the president to release his college records, Trump said, "There is one line called place of birth, I'd like to see what he said..Perhaps it's going to say Hawaii, perhaps it's going to say Kenya."

Earned? Or purchased?
Actually, I am inclined to believe that the media is also the biggest threat to America.
“Actually, I am inclined to believe that the media is also the biggest threat to America.”
You got that right!
It’s easy to make the Media the Villain.
But in this case, Ronmey’s biggest liability is himself.
(But the Magic Underpants may pull him through.)
Yeah, we noticed that too.
Romney has been a successful business man — the media hates that, they hate freedom and capitalism.
Trump’s a dick.
It is ironic that the media in the purportedly most democratic country in the world is much more deceitful than Pravda was during the Soviet period.
I’m not glad about Romney being the Repbulican choice.
However, at this point, I think the only thing that would change a Romney win would be Obama suddenly reversing himself on many issues, a kind of “Okay Republicans, let’s do this your way!”. Encouraging a huge shift in legislation targeting the key issues that he knows he’s loosing on.
Don’t hold your breath.
It’s Romney’s to lose.
The Democrat’s know it’s worse than it appears for Obama.
That doesn’t mean I’ll grow slack in efforts from my end.
The harder this administration, and it’s minions, are routed, the better for America.
The press are exercising their first amendment right to lie to you.
You are just jealous of Trump’s success, wealth, and hair. ;)
“The harder this administration, and it’s minions, are routed, the better for America.”
Exactloy — preferable real soon, before they have the chance to totally destroy the US as we know it.
Ha! You found my picnic picture!
The media are a huge threat to the US.
They exalt the perverted and attack the decent. All while having a smarmy, hypocritical holier than thou, oh so more knowledgeable attitude.
I disagree... Romney is the biggest threat to Romneys campaign..
Why vote for the inventor of Romney-care to get rid of the inventor of Obama-care..
That logic is Three Stooges logic..
It seems republicans DO NOT WANT a conservative President..
The mainstream media move in lock step to destroy the enemies of socialism. Talking about a left wing conspiracy, it is staring you in the face. Just read the headlines of the Washington Post, LA Times, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chicago Tribune, NY Times, and on and on. These papers have been on lock step for decades.
Just in terms of the campaign so far, I think Romnet-—and I gave to Cain and voted for Newt-—has run a brilliant campaign that is beating the pants off Barry. He is shrewdly allowing surrogates like Trump to keep the Kenya issue out there while “personally” denying it, and himself only talking jobs, jobs, jobs. My wife said he would be ruthless and sneaky, and it’s about time we had a candidate who knows how to fight dirty.
It's also a case of severe tunnel vision which will not allow making a distinction between Romney and Obama...
