He is also scared to death, like anyone with a Lynch mob clamoring for blood on his trail.
I don't believe he is plotting anything sinister, he is just running scared.
This is a shameful indictment of what America is becoming.
He and his wife had four recorded conversations (4/12 at 4:43pm, 4/15 at 10:34am, 4/16 at 1:34pm, and 4/16 at 2:31pm) about the money. During two of the conversations Mrs. Zimmerman was at their Credit Union and George spoke directly with bank officials.
They were transferring money from the Paypal account into multiple Credit Union accounts. Credit Union statements dated 4/19, the day before the bond hearing, show they had access to over $135,000.00 in cash.
Yesterday I heard Hannity report that there's video from a surveillance camera in the jail where Zimmerman was before being released on bond. Hannity said that the video reportedly showed Zimmerman and his wife talking about how to hide the donation money. I don't know if that's true or not, or who released that information.
I also concur with everything you've said about this being a Lynch mob. As I indicated to another FReeper, the media spun their narrative out there and continued to skew it, no matter what evidence came out to support GZ's version of events.
Then, the way they lionized Trayvon, holding him up as a symbol of the "inherent racism" lie, was disgusting to behold.
My sister was in a similar situation years ago. Horrific car accident, totally false media reports about how the accident happened, 3 different court cases. It haunts her to this day, over 25 years later. So I have some idea of what GZ is going through, although my sister didn't have the media salivating at the thought of her death.
Thanks for not engaging in the knee-jerk I've seen from some others. It's a horrible situation he's in; while others can break all the rules, Zimmerman has to stay within them. His credibility is crucial if he stands any chance of getting real justice, so missteps before the court, however unintentional, can have far ranging effects.
