The President's Tone Deaf Camp (Ron Burgundy of Presidents?)
IBD Editorials ^ | June 1, 2012

Leadership: The perils of reading scripts written by hacks from teleprompters were shown by a president who has a habit of insulting and betraying allies. He has succeeded in making his vice president look eloquent.

Maybe President Obama was just tired from campaigning for re-election in all 57 states where he said he campaigned in 2008. But on Tuesday, while presenting World War II Polish resistance hero Jan Karski with a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest American honor that can be given a civilian, he made a reference to "Polish death camps."

The president, so good at apologizing to our enemies, offered only a meek one to our longstanding Polish ally through White House press Secretary Jay Carney. Responded Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk: "I am certain that our American friends are capable of a more explicit reaction than issuing a correction and the spokesperson of the White House expressing regret."

"When someone says 'Polish death camps,'" Tusk explained, "it's as if there were no Nazis, no German responsibility, as if there was no Hitler. That is why our Polish sensitivity in these situations is so much more than just simply a feeling of national pride."

We might give President Obama the benefit of the doubt, such as when in two recent campaign appearances the father of two daughters twice mistakenly mentioned "my sons" when defending his regulation on contraception. Or when, while speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, the teleprompter once again malfunctioned and he mispronounced "corpsman" as "corpse-man."

Smartest man in the room? I’m starting to think he’s mildly retarded. Who did his homework at Harvard Law School?

Except he doesn’t need to read “Go F*** yourself America” off of a teleprompter...

I dont think retardation is in play here. Hes certainly a product of the self esteem crowd who told him lie after lie about his abilities. I suspect theres a healthy helping of entitlement in the mix too. Hes not measured himself rightly thats for sure.

He is a product of ethnic studies, political correctness and white guilt over Western Civilization (probably in reverse order.)

The Won suffers from celebrity disease, no one to correct him or tell him no.

IHTFJ has finaly come boiling to the surface for The Won.

He never really wanted to be President, he just wanted to look good as a debater. Like the dog who chases cars, he had no real idea of what he intended to do with the car once he did catch it.

Well, surprise, he DID catch the car, then proceeded to rip off the tires, drain all the fuel out of the tank, tear up the upholstery and urinate all over the floorboards. And now the car just won’t do what he wants it to.

Not at all surprised he has come to hate the freakin’ job.

I took this as one of Obama’s forked tongue remarks. Play sympathy and empathy for the victims but don’t connect the atrocities to the WWII combine of Nazis and Muslims

One word (I just learned it today) - Fatuity. Both him and his misus.

From now on, I’ll use SCoaMF and Queen Fatuity to describe them.

Let me focus on one gaffe---57 states.

Ask any adult American (who went to primary and secondary school in the United States in a school system outside the 25 largest cities) how many states there are. He or she will reply, without hesitation "50". It is an easy number to remember, one that has been drilled into them for years. It doesn't matter how drunk or hung over or tired you are, you might forget your own address, but not the number of US states.

Ask a college graduate the same question and he better come up with 50.

Ask a member of the senate, one of 100 (two senators per state) how many states there are and, if he is unsure, he can do the math.

Ask a constitutional law professor (or a lecturer) at any education level at any institution and, if he doesn't come up with 50 real fast, he should be fired.

Now we have Barak Obama. The smartest president ever. It takes him several seconds to come up with "57 states" as if he is counting. I don't care how tired he was, he couldn't come up with the answer. He actually said that he had been to 57 states and had one left to go!

There is something greatly amiss here.

The Food Stamp President has serious mental problems. He has never and will never apologize for anything. Besides being a pathological liar, his inflated ego and narcissism could never survive the hit.
