The widow of President Ronald Reagan says she is firmly behind Romney. And she says that her "Ronnie" would have liked Romney's business background and what she calls his "strong principles."
In a statement issued after the Romneys' visit, Mrs. Reagan said she believes that Romney has the experience and leadership skills that, in her words, "our country so desperately needs."

I don’t think Senior was actively casting votes for Democrats.
Do you know how silly that statement is?
You aren't trying to sell a hypothetical with your BS, you are denying the facts of how we have already voted, twice, and I'm not the only one here who went back into the military, or reenlisted, or signed up for the first time, or worked on campaigns because we loved Reagan so much, and voting just wasn't enough, we wanted to be a part of his fight.
Romney despised Reagan, changed his registration during his campaign, and didn't vote for him.
Guide you ? My dear, I could lead a Willardbot to the Fountain of Truth, but you’d only run from it. Carry on.
“Bless your heart.”
Someone explained to me what people really mean by this. ;)
Love it and I agree!
Where did you read that she was forced into saying her words? Where?
Of course, not very Christian.
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all."
Now see this post, Mitt Romney's own words.
"Look, I was [became] an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. Im not trying to return to Reagan-Bush."
Did Reagan pick Bush St as his VP or not? And eventually his successor? Even at the primaries, Bush was considered from the moderate to liberal wing of the party. I’m not going to argue further with you since it’s waste of time. Simply pointing out that if we look at the fact Reagan was capable to endorse someone who you wouldn’t endorse.

Obama Tells Donors Health-Care Fight May Loom After Court Rules
Yes, it will be so much better if Obama got a second term, instead of Romney winning... (/sarc)
Do you think Mrs. Reagan knows about what Willard thinks about her husband (such as in post #12) ? How about his record and his, ahem, “principles” ? This was a clear case of lying to and manipulating a 91-year old widow to secure an “endorsement.” It is disgusting and vile. The fact that you have no problem with it speaks volumes.
See post 4 and 50. I hate to keep repeating the obvious.
Romney was so repulsed by Reagan/Bush that he even did democrat fund raising along with giving his own money in various democrat races nationally.
Do you honestly believe Ronald Reagan would’ve endorsed a Socialist like Willard and actively campaigned for him ? If you do, then you never knew Reagan. He would be disgusted at charlatans like him. These are the people he fought against his entire political career.
Wow. Now there’s a find. Nothing like going straight to the source.
You keep implying that just because former First Lady Nancy Reagan is 90 (NOT yet 91), she is senile and can be and is being manipulated.
She clearly shows more intelligence and common sense than many here, including you, who can’t comprehend the consequences of their actions, that if Romney doesn’t win, that means Obama gets a second term.
LOL, what is obvious is that you aren’t just settling, you are happy that Romney is there.
You see that all you have is well...well...he isn’t the democrat, when forced to try and defend him to conservatives.
See post 4 for another Reagan quote.
Without WillardCare in Massachusetts, there would be no ZeroCare now for the SCOTUS to be ruling on. Willard remains very very proud of his signature piece of Socialist legislation and Zero equally inspired by it.
I just adore how you liberals think there is actually a difference between these two big gubmint statists.
Reagan used to be a Democrat. Romney never was.
