Where did you read that she was forced into saying her words? Where?
Do you think Mrs. Reagan knows about what Willard thinks about her husband (such as in post #12) ? How about his record and his, ahem, “principles” ? This was a clear case of lying to and manipulating a 91-year old widow to secure an “endorsement.” It is disgusting and vile. The fact that you have no problem with it speaks volumes.

I have had several great-aunts — all highly educated — live into their late 90s. My grandmother is still alive, although she is in her late 90s and not doing so well anymore. Anyway, all of these women were in full possession of their faculties at least until 95/96.
One aunt even lived alone and did everything but drive. And continued to be bilingual and write papers and so on. So, I don’t know Mrs. Reagan but I would definitely not call 91 “elderly” or “incapacitated” or anything.
