For the first time in five-and-a-half years of regular tracking, half of voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats when it comes to the economy, the issue they rate by far as most important to how they will vote. Voters now trust Republicans more on six of the 10 major issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports, Democrats more on two, and they're tied on two.

Wait and see. Obama might have negative coat tails, and Olympia Snow and Susan Collins might end up feeling very lonely. Not saying it will. But let’s wait and see.

Romney is a socialist. A significant percentage of the GOP in congress are either socialists themselves or “moderate” or just spineless little pussies. They WILL go along with a republican president on just about ANYTHING he wants to do. This IS precedent. It CAN be proven. With even THESE members congress.
Sorry, id rather take my chances with a GOP that will fight the socialist agenda even if most of them are doing so ONLY because its coming from the democrat party.
Suit yourself. All the Tea Partiers in Congress cannot prevent the damage that four more years of O as Head of State and Commander in Chief. I’ll settle for a Romney, who, while socialistic, is not malevolent at least, and a Congress that can at times dictate his agenda to him.
I don’t trust the Repubs anymore than I do the Dems with the economy. People who do are living in a fantasy world.
The problem is that, there are NO good conservative alternats out there though.
