PHOENIX - Arizona's Secretary of State says he is satisfied with verification from Hawaii that proves President Barack Obama's citizenship. In a Wednesday statement, Secretary of State Ken Bennett said his office on Tuesday received confirmation that "the information in the copy of the Certificate of Live Birth for the President matches the original record in their files."Full article at:Bennett re-ignited the birther debate last week after agreeing to request proof of Obama's citizenship.
Bennett said more than 1,000 Arizona residents contacted his office asking about the President's birth certificate and that as the top election official in the state, he was simply trying to ease their concerns.
On Wednesday, after receiving confirmation from Hawaii officials, Bennett said he considers the matter "closed."

What AZ SoS Bennett received from Hawaii after eight weeks of stonewalling was a steaming pile of legalese nothingburger. And this was only after Bennett caved to HI demands that he withdraw the form he had submitted to them and revise the information he wanted "verified." Interesting how the date of birth was left out. . .
