Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney has now secured at least 88 of the 155 delegates at stake in the Texas Primary, bringing his secured delegate total to 1174, 30 more than necessary to win the majority of the delegated needed for the GOP nomination.
With 4% of Texas precincts now reporting, Romney has consistently maintained or increased a 60 point lead over his nearest competitor, Congressman Ron Paul.
In the contested race for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate, David Dewhurst is holding a 48% to 31% lead over his nearest rival Ted Cruz in a nine person contest.

If anyone fails to get 50% of the vote there is a run off between the two with the most votes.

The GOP has betrayed Conservatives by nominating Romney.
After abandoning Conservative values and losing elections in 2006 and 2008, they told us they were listening and had learned. We gave them another chance in 2010, and now they push Romney? How quickly they forget.
Conservatives are patriots and we must vote for conservatives in the House and Senate to stop Obama's agenda.
Then, we must vote against progressive Romney such that we can nominate a Conservative in 2016 and get the progressives out of power as soon as possible.
Otherwise our next opportunity for a Conservative candidate would be 2024-2028. The march to socialism would be complete.

Dewhurst is a good conservative. He’s been painted as a moderate by some tea party groups and got Palin’s endorsement, but I like Dewhurst.

Where can I get a live update?
In order for a runoff to happen, Dewhurst has to stay under 50%, right?

I wonder if we all signed up at DU and talked about how we should not support Obama because he was not pure enough, if people would have the sense to check our signup dates?

Now is the time to quit this childlike bull crap and get behind Romney. I cannot understand the willingness to put Romney down and get King Obama for another four. Where in the hell do we get these fools.
