Don’t live in Michigan, but I would vote for McCotter.

I suspect he'll succeed as a write in.

Another “indispensable man”. At least in his mind.

“Having promised people I would seek another term in the United States Congress and, thereby, give them the chance to vote for or against me, the only way to clean up my mess is to run a write-in campaign for the Republican nomination for Michigan’s 11th Congressional District . . . ”

Well, at least he is taking responsibility . . . but what a flub! The Cook PVI for this district is rated even. So he has his work cut out for him.

If the guy was a flake, cunce or leftist, it would be funny but he is pretty sound for a guy that has to kiss some rust belt but out of Michigan.

I would have been better than a number of the also rans like a few governors that ran in the Primaries and fizzled. Its a shame to have your staff muff one this bad.

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter will run a write-in campaign for the GOP nomination after botching the signature requirement to make the Congressional ballot in Michigan.

But he can run the country just fine.

It’s official.

Whatever happens the democrats are a Larooshie and some random village trustee named Dr. Syed Taj so even if McCotter’s little known GOP challenger Kerry Bentivolio beats him in the primary I’m not worried about the seat, competitive though it is.

I wasn’t keen on McCotter’s no chance attempt at the Presidency but oddly enough I’d have preferred him to most of the other candidates.

How could McCotter be so incompetent as to do this?

McCotter is a worthless load.

His ACU rating for 2011 was less than 67, and his lifetime rating after 9 years is less than 83.
That’s beyond pathetic.

And now we know he’s not only a liberal, he’s an incompetent liberal.
Yikes. Go away, McCotter.

Update: McCotter is *not* running as a write-in. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/301645/re-welcome-back-mccotter-robert-costa

And neither is Trott. But Rocky Raczkowski might? http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120529/POLITICS01/205290377 Rocky would make a fine Congressman, but winning a write-in campaign with that name will be very difficult.
