“It seems to me that somehow they’ve missed the boat. They’ve missed the story,” Wuerl said.

No, the did not miss the story; they are sticking with the story line given them by the Soros Administration. Expecting them to actually report the news is an exercise in naivete.

On a related note, one of the female anchors on CNN today was “reporting” the story of the Vatican’s conflict with the conference of women religious — can’t remember the name. Anyway, she said that the Vatican is not pleased that the nuns are spending too much time with the poor instead of on issues such as same-sex “marriage”. I am not making that up, I swear.

I'm very much enjoying this investigation and re-organization of the "Leadership Conference of Women Religious"—who basically think they should all be made bishops. Meanwhile, the CDF at the Vatican doesn't care what anyone in the Western media thinks (in contrast to some other Vatican offices).

To adapt an ancient expression: "The mills of the Vatican turn slow, but they grind exceeding fine." In reality, those old Commie-Lite nuns who "kicked the habit" in the 1960s represent no one, and they will be pastured. They are being replaced by fast-growing orders of young, smiling, orthodox nuns in habits who are beginning to open real Catholic schools.
