I live in a community that has more than 70 churches, no bars and only 3 or 4 sit-down restaurants. Some of these churches are using up blocks of the most valuable real estate within several hours' drive. There is one that is essentially "owned" by a charismatic character who lives in a new 12,000 SF house on several acres, built in the finest manner possible and containing the finest furnishings available anywhere.
Are you thinking in terms of secular thoughts or in terms of everlasting life?
I’ll take everlasting life, thank you.
The Catholic Church can speak to issues, but never endorse a candidate.
Any church that does ENDORSE a candidate needs to be taxed, for then they have stepped out of the everylasting life genre into the present day politics of the secular world.
