Not that you brought it up let me add the maddening use of “advise” in place of “advice”. I see it all the time here when poster ask for “advise” or say let me give you some “advise”.
As a matter of fact, you are right. If you look at the CDC website where they give statistics on such things, "children" are up to age 22.
These statistics can be manipulated and you can figure out that in most such deaths, the "children" are males in the age group of 15 or so and up. At least, that was true the last time I looked.
I think they actually call people up to 22 "adolescents." Not many people I know over 19 consider themselves "adolescents."
If you don't take a closer look at the statistics, you'd think a lot of young kids get accidentally shot by a gun in the household, being an innocent bystander, etc or else get murdered. These things happen, but most gun deaths in "children" likely involve crimes, criminals, or wannabees, IMO.
Per the article, they were, naturally, honor students and varsity athletes.
Yeah, I remember being 17-years old, drinking beer and throwing eggs at stop signs.
Somehow, the idea of arming myself to rob and beat a convenience store employee seemed wrong to me at that time and was a line far away from the ones I would cross. I guess it's just different cultures...
Anyhow, here's another one:

Get there soon before the good comments get deleted! "His life didn't end quickly. He made it out of the store." LOL!
A twofer elimination of ferals. Good shooting.
Well, you would have to have excellent abdominal muscles to be able to take a bullet in the stomach and still be able to run for the door. Wonder what caliber the clerk was using?
