Yep, we’ve got to teach these young people about business.
They need their business license, workman’s comp insurance, employee health insurance, make sure to pay at least minimum wage to all employees, have their permits from the health department, pass health inspections relating to handling of food, have liability insurance policy in place, in case someone gets hurt at their place of business, make sure they withhold income tax on their employees, register with the IRS, their state, and any other governmental entities to get their required tax ID numbers, register with their state to collect and remit sales tax on all sales, etc. etc. etc.
You’ll see more and more of this as the government is squeezed for cash and the government bureaucrats start to get worried about their job they will go into hyper-active mode to prove to their employer that they are still of some value by over enforcing to collect more money for the State. It will keep getting worse right up until we hit the wall like Greece. In the mean time black markets will also start to get more popular as everyone gets squeezed by these government goons and are forced to go underground just to survive. Interesting times.
The lemonade business will have to go underground.
Teach the kids on how to prepared emergency food kits, buy some 5 gallon buckets, and then have the kids go door to door selling a preppers kit.
Bucket can come with certain emergency supplies and freez dried foods, with the proper buying the profit margin can be pretty good.
This is just one more aspect of the systematic elimination of American Culture as we used to know it.
We had a neighborhood garage sale this past weekend.
At least a half-dozen lemonade stands.
I bought from as many as I could.
