There was video at the time of Clinton, at a luncheon or dinner, being handed a note by an aid which contained the news of Boorda’s death. He opened it and, to my eyes at least, appeared genuinely shocked. His mouth dropped, his eyes bugged, and he went pale. I don’t think that was fake. I know he’s a great liar, but I knew that then and I was struck at what appeared to be one genuine moment by that big fake.
