Better PR Won't Save ObamaCare

Health Care: The Obama administration just inked a $20 million deal with PR firm Porter Novelli to help promote ObamaCare. Why do they need to promote a law that was supposed to get more popular once it passed?

According to news accounts, the multimedia campaign is mandated by ObamaCare as a way to educate the public about how to stay healthy and prevent illnesses.

Right. Like another $20 million will make a difference on top of the avalanche of public health news already out there.

A Health and Human Services official let slip the real reason, telling Roll Call that the PR effort is meant "to inform the American people about the many preventive benefits now available ... as a result of the Affordable Care Act."

In other words, this is more about burnishing ObamaCare's image before the election than meeting some public health imperative.

Our taxes are being used to re-elect the Dear Leader. Just peachy.

What will they do with the money once SCOTUS kills or guts it?

The AG here in MA, a ‘rat of course, is now going after Tim Cahill - he was the state treasurer, running for Governor in 2010. The reason? For using his state offices to tout, in a way favorable to his campaign, the MA lottery. What the ‘rats are doing is chutzpah - using the public trust and money to promote their political campaigns.

If the Supremes declare SoetoroCare unconstitutional and/or the next Congress votes to repeal it, Zero will have done exactly zero in his four years as the worst President in history. His campaign to destroy the United States of America will have failed — just what Rush hoped for in January 2009. If Sheriff Joe’s birth certificate and selective service card campaigns are successful the history books will have to add a big asterisk next to the Pretender’s name or, better yet, leave a blank space for the years 2009-2012 when listing holders of the office.

It is looking more and more like obama will be reelected. Obamacare will ruin the country if not struck down by the supremes.

Ever major poll.....and I mean every one has Romney leading Obama. I don’t know where you are getting the impression that Obama is going to be relected ? He might be, but not as of today.

Unfortunately, all major polls limit their sample to living, non-fictional voters. Obama has nearly 100% support among the dead and cartoon characters, and both groups vote enthusiastically.

The number is 270. Right now obams has a lock on 230....romney-90. Those leaning toward obama bring him up to 330. Romney has leaning another 50. Grant it there are many states up in the air and will no doubt fall to Romney. But Romney has very little latitude to miss the mark. Obama has a lot of room to move. He will, for example, spend a great deal of money in Arizona, which will ultimately, probably go to Romney, but not until Romney spends substantial resources and time on a state which should be a given, thus taking away precious dollars from those state that are really up-for-grabs.

Google Romney 3-2-1 Plan. It might give you food for thought.

Check out tonight's primary results in KY and AR, Obama can only win 60% of the Dem vote against Wolf and uncommitted respectively. In WVA a convict got 41% of the vote against Obama in the Dem primary. And 20% of the Dems in NC voted for uncommitted rather than Obama.

The real indication of how Obama is doing with the electorate is to see how many Dem candidates downticket want to have Obama campaign with them. Hell, Mancin has said he doesn't know if he will vote for Obama. Nelson of FL avoided being seen on stage with Obama.

I find it amazing how many people seem to have amnesia when it comes to the 2010 election results. It was an historic shellacking, similar to what the Dems laid on the Reps in 2006. We know what happened in 2008. So why do we ignore what happened in 2010?

whatever happens, Obama has irrevocably ruined the USA. If Obama is relected, the USA is a third-world country by 2020. The other alternative, Romney, is Obama-lite. With him the 3rd world status gets pushed beyond 2020, but not by much. Romney would only slow it down slightly

If we had a Palin or Cain, our slide would be reversed. But without them, we are still going down the pits..

I hope and pray you are right. I get more and more concerned as I look at the states and their current polling. It should be a tidal wave against obama. Yes the 2010 was a watershed for the republicans. I hope that trend continues, but hundreds of millions of dollars will be used to tell lies from obama and attempt to buy votes with those lies. I am not a Romney person, but I will vote to exterminate the adminstration of this government by obama and his ilk.

Another 20 Million in advertising? Have you all noticed the amount of government advertising these last few years?

HHS: Lets move.org, adoptus kids.org, smallstep.gov, AHRQ.gov

FEMA: Ready.gov

NEA:Knowhowtogo.org

IRS:IRS.gov

US Forest Service:discovertheforest.org

US Dept. of Agriculture:report smuggling of birds

DOT: Don't text while driving

These are the ones I was able to write down, but there are others, an extraordinary amount of others. Ads on how you should buckle up your kid in car seats, ads on how you should put your leftovers in the refrigerator right away, ads that you shouldn't drive while drunk, ads about child abuse and how to recognize it in your waitress and on and on and on.

Palin just endorsed Orin Hatch over a Tea Party candidate. What’s up with that?
