Omaha Police say Julia Brown of Papillion was killed when the van she was riding in was struck from behind by a pickup at 72nd and Main Street at 5:40pm.
Emily Brown, 10, and Madeline Brown, 13, and their mother Susan M. Brown, 44, were injured in the crash. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
The Honda minivan was stopped at a traffic light when, according to witnesses, a pickup that had been driving erratically and at a high rate of speed hit them from behind and pushed the vehicle through the intersection.
It had struck another van moments before, according to Omaha Police.
The Omaha driver of the Ford pickup, Rodney D. Watkins, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Joining in prayer.
Prayers for the family and other loved ones sent Vet.
What a tragedy for this family. I will pray for all of them, and may it be of some consolation that that precious 8 year old little girl is in the arms of our Dear Lord Jesus.
Am praying!
Prayers up.
I just came across this thread. Will pray for Julia and the Brown family. There are no words adequate to this situation. Time alone will not relieve their pain, but faith and prayer will temper it somewhat. I will pray that they find that strength.
