Breitbart News has learned that the transfer class that entered Columbia College in the fall of 1981 with Obama was one of the worst in recent memory, according to Columbia officials at the time.
A Nov. 18, 1981 article in the Columbia Spectator, Tight Housing Discourages Transfer Applications to CC, written by student Jeremy Feldman and quoting admissions officials, reported: On paper at least, the quality of the students accepted [as transfers] has declined along with the number of applicants, the officials say.
Feldman, quoting Robert Boatti, Assistant Dean of Admissions, as well as the late college Dean Arnold Collery, continued:
Boatti also attributed the drop in transfer application to the Colleges policy of requiring transfer students to take courses in its core curriculum and to the limited availability of financial aid for them.Boatti confirmed Collerys observations. He added a majority of the transfers come here from college in the New York area. Many come from community colleges, rather than the nations top schools.
Even the unhappiest people dont transfer from Harvard, Boatti said.
In grades and other indicators of academic performance, the crop of transfer applicants doesnt stand out the way they did before, [Dean Arnold] Collery said.

Did he EVER EVEN take the “SAT”?!
I would literally bet my life savings on it...
The SAT is racist; just look at the Asian scores.
Hmmm....I’d have though based on his past as we know it, all any ‘application’ he’d have needed just say FOREIGN/BLACK. I doubt he ever took an SAT.
Just a question here — last week-end’s Breitbart article confirmed that O graduated from Colombia University — is there a Colombia University AND a Colombia College or one and the same?
Knowing Brietbart.com, I predict that they will wait until all the media and libs deny and defend The One, claiming Obama is a genius and has perfect SATs. Then Brietbart will drop the SAT score dox.
The implied assumption that GWB is a dullard isn’t warranted. I don’t care about O’s SAT score. I can see what he is doing to this country and that is enough.
BTW, the article said that student aid was "tight" at the time. If OweBama didn't get foreign aide for his studies, how did OweBama pay for his studies?
Me thinks Breitbart has more facts than what they're showing...
Ops. Not student aid, but housing was “tight.” I would like to know how he paid for Columbia, though...
Drip...Drip...Drip!
Do they allow teleprompters while taking the SAT?
Colombia University is the ivy. It’s in Manhattan. The Preezy went there.
I would bet my LIFE on it.
If there was anything in the foreign exchange student’s past that was admirable, it would have been waved around by his adoring fans AND a special press conference would have been held to present the record as proof of Obama’s brilliance. Oh, and it would appear as the background on the White House website.
Instead, every record that exists is sealed by executive order and the libs don’t give a crap. Amazing how those rose-colored glasses change their views.
Where are the legal challenges to get The One’s transcripts unsealed? Why isn’t he having to fight back one legal challenge after another?
Somehow he was able to get two of his challenger’s divorce records pried open. How did that happen? Are divorce records public but school transcripts not?
One thing you know for sure when electing a republican to office. You will know that he has been thoroughly disemboweled and vetted by the media. With a democrat it will always be pot luck.
Still two sections on the test back then. I am guessing a 510 on the Verbal portion and a 420 on the Math.
“every record that exists is sealed by executive order”
He will only have that executive order power for the next 6 months. What then? Romney better not keep those records sealed in the name of some presidential protocol.
Must be the racist bias in the SATs. ;’) Thanks Olog-hai.
Not good enough for a half-white boy from Hawaii to gain admittance to Columbia, but on the stellar end for an exchange student from Kenya.
