We missed this yesterday as it went viral, but maybe that's for the best since now I can bring you the exciting conclusion: She's been suspended (with pay).
An employee at the Rowan-Salisbury School System said they have been flooded with calls from around the country on Monday...
The district released a statement on Monday.
The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom. This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students. Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly.
I'm 99 percent convinced that she’s a liberal who was forced to fall back on the inane "presidents can't be criticized" argument to seem 'even-handed' while imposing a gag order on O’s behalf, but one percent of me is holding out for the possibility that she really might believe it. Actual quote from the clip: “As a social studies teacher I cannot allow you to slander any president in here, past or present. If thats the case, somebody could say negative things about the Tea Party.” …Yeah. Imagine if people started saying negative things about the tea party.
Maybe she just meant that she wanted to keep the classroom more or less free from political contention? I.e. no bashing Bush, no bashing Obama, no bashing the tea party, etc. Although in that case, what’s with her claiming that people were arrested for criticizing Bush? Are we dealing with a lefty hack here or, more terrifying, a social studies teacher whose grasp on the First Amendment is a lot less tight than her students’? Two clips for you, one the abridged version with highlights from Fox News and the other the director’s cut.
Listen to the tape. Um, highly likely -- in my non-expert opinion.
I really get tired of hearing of people who are “suspended, with pay”! That is no punishment. It’s a paid vacation. :~((
Ah, yes! Another wonderful example of the quota system and how well it is working. /s
This is more government indoctrination due to the “Union Label” The kids just happened to have a cell phone recording this time but it happens all day every day in government schools across this nation. The Teacher’s Unions are in bed with Commies & Democrats so go figure.
Seriously, this sounds like my 10th grade French teacher on a good day. Yes, thanks to the NC school system, I was taught French in Ebonics.
One student, who had spent quite a bit of time in France due to her father’s job, corrected the teacher who was completely wrong about something. The teacher screamed, “I will tell you what is right and what is wrong in my class!!”
The teacher was a complete idiot and no one could understand how she had gotten her job. We figured she was a quota fill.
Sounds like a future employee of the TSA.
Here's the article and entire 9 minute video from the local Salisbury newspaper. The kid in the video's mom posted in the comments.
Haitian Creole is not Parisian French.
The teacher has already been identified. She is — not surprisingly — one of Holder’s people.
Now don’t you be complaining about your learning!
We is doin the bestest we can.
The one beauty of it: The younger generation gets a glimpse into what is censorship in a communist society. It tends to sensitize them to the pablum we see on the monthly (read:daily) messages from the *fearless leader* Obama.
The kid in the videos mom said she has pulled him from North Rowan because of “safety issues” in the comments section of the article i linked above.
North Rowan is:
% Asian 3%
% Hispanic 5%
% Black 50%
% White 41%
Unknown 1%

Agreed. She is just starting her 3 month vacation a few weeks earlier than most and will be back next year screwing up another classroom full of kids.
That should be “we’s” shouldn’t it? As in “we’s doin the bestest we’s can.”
The perfect Ebonic speech pattern was a clear give-away for me.
Does she teach Ebonics?
Pray for America
