Since when is Notre Dame a Catholic College.

A very wealthy friend of mine cut off all big donations to ND because they invited the illegal alien pro-death muslim to the college in 2009. They ain’t seen a dime since from him.

For them to show any kind of outrage at this POS’s administration is the height of hypocrisy.

Whether NDU is Catholic to your satisfaction or to anyone else’s, the fact is that to the vast majority of Americans NDU IS America’s foremost Catholic university. Fordham, Georgetown, Boston College, and St. Louis do not,in their names or nationwide reputations create in the mind the Catholic image of NDU. The Golden Dome, Touchdown Jesus, and Pat O’Brien as Rockne, talking to his team about The Scool of Our Lady. All these identify NDU. Thus, it was incumbent upon its president to take this step. No matter who they invited in ‘09 to speak,Notre Dame cannot stand aside while the American Church is attacked for its beliefs. Maybe the good father wishes there was another way, but for NDU there isn’t. Its position in this country makes this move an obligation.

After 100 Cardinals, Bishops, and Archbishops beat up Father Jenkins over the Obama invitation in 2009, along with a number of pro-life groups, Father Jenkins has changed his tune.

He has given pro-life Catholics a prominent voice in the campus. He has reformed Notre Dame in terms of banning the Vagina Dialogues from that campus.

Father Jenkins still has a ways to go, but there are good Catholics at Notre Dame.

For the Obama Commencement, the University allowed a second Commencement ceremony to be held at the same time.

So Father Jenkins was forced to give in to the protestors.

There is the famous Notre Dame 88, which has lost two of its members (one to cancer). The other, Father Norman Weslin recently passed away.

These were 88 prolifers that were arrested for being on the Notre Dame campus.

Father Jenkins and Notre Dame eventually saw all the charges dropped against these people.

The short of this is that Notre Dame has been hurt by the Obama invitation.

Hopefully the changes after the Obama invitation (increase power to prolifers on campus) will continue...

Though you may be right that Notre Dame has a ways to go to be a solidly Catholic University.

Time for ND to EAT IT !! (You've crapped in your hat-now it's time to wear it!)

Frankly given the cost of collage tuition, I am at a loss to explain why anyone would give any money to any collage.
