Report: Dems Seek To Disenfranchise Obama Arkansas Challenger's Voters

If this report is true, if indeed Arkansas state Democrats are threatening to ignore any delegates President Obama's primary challenger, John Wolfe, might win this Tuesday, this is an obvious attempt to not only disenfranchise his voters but to also suppress the turnout of his voters, who are now being informed their vote might not count. Michael Warren at The Weekly Standard: After a poll released this week showed President Barack Obama only beating his Democratic primary opponent John Wolfe Jr. by seven points, 45 percent to 38 percent, in Arkansas's Fourth Congressional District, state Democrats moved to practically disenfranchise Arkansas voters. "[D]elegates Wolfe might claim won't be recognized at the national convention," national party officials are telling state Democrats. Wolfe is being accused of not following the party rules. ... Wolfe insists he’s done the due diligence to qualify for delegates and that the state party is making decisions ad hoc to get the results they desire. “This is ridiculous," he says. "These guys are trying to tamp down voter enthusiasm.” If he's denied delegates he's rightfully won, Wolfe says, Democrats would be effectively disenfranchising those who chose him over President Obama. And if that happens, he’ll take his own party to court. “They took my money and put my name on the ballot,” he says. “They’re trying to make people think it’s hopeless to vote against Obama.” Wolfe is also on the ballot for Texas’s primary on May 29. Wolfe suspects these suppression efforts are coming directly from the top, the DNC. After Obama lost nearly 42% of the West Virginia primary vote to a prison inmate and 20% of the North Carolina primary vote to "no preference," Democrat officials are obviously and legitimately concerned....

Hahaha - All the DNC will accomplish is to make Mr. Wolfe a folk hero.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. This will just be good publicity for Mr. Wolfe. And, it will piss off a lot of Arkies who will say, I don’t care if the Delegates count. We’re gonna send a message. YES!!!

Powder..patch..ball FIRE!

It appears that Facebook is censoring recommended links from http://www.breitbart.com.

For the second time in a few days (Obomma’s bio) and this link, sharing to facebook only happens with generic breitbart url \ no title and the post only shows up on my timeline not shared - never makes it to the general friends place.

Amazing. And who can you complain to? Nobody. Facebook is sucking more and more..

Yes, I too saw John Wolfe, attorney from Chattanooga, TN, on the Huckabee show. It was really funny!

The word I get from Arkansas democrats is that Mr. Wolfe’s delegates, if any, will not count because he failed to turn in a couple of forms—like Political Practices Pledge or something. But I am wondering why his name is appearing in the newspaper as an official person on the ballot in the Democrat primary??

Just curious...what will be the amount of the protest vote?

He was within seven points before appearing on Hucklebee, wonder how close he is now?....All the comedians would have a field day if he actually pulled off a victory. “Obama-born-in-hawaii” IS becoming a joke.

Excuse me.

Didn't the RNC attempt something very similar four years ago?

The 2008 election session was almost turned on its ear when Florida wanted to move its primary ahead of several other states. And why not? Florida controls 10% of the electoral college votes necessary to become president. The way the media (both LMSM and others) report the primary process is to hype the early primaries in an attempt to preselect the candidates lead to this attempt.

While the RNC only threatened to reduce the number of delegates to the national convention by half (equal to Massachusetts' electoral college vote) what makes this discounting different from this disenfranchising effort?

IMHO - what is happening is the voters are getting feed up with the “business as usual” attitude inside the Beltway and want significant change while our rulers (that's what their actions define them as) are going to give something much different.

Remember our Republic was NOT built on compromise nor was the Civil War (aka War of the Southern Succession) fought on compromise; so, why must we worship the great deity of Compromise to the exclusion of all others today?
