Conservatives are lining up for Ted Cruz in Texas - this is the next important Tea Party election we have to win !
Tea Party Express endorsed Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz has gotten national attention recently due to his surge in the polls, the Tea Party Express rallies throughout Texas supporting his candidacy, and the endorsement of Sarah Palin. We wanted to send along a quick early voting reminder and a very cool audio message that we received from the Ted Cruz campaign that was recorded by Governor Sarah Palin to Texas voters. Hear what Sarah Palin said about Ted Cruz and the Tea Party Express Early voting has already begun in this important election and Ted Cruz needs our support now more than ever. Many are calling him "the next Marco Rubio" and a "rising star in the Tea Party movement". This is a race that we have to win! The election is only 9 DAYS away! We must build on the momentum that Sarah Palin has provided us with. The polls are tightening and Ted Cruz is closing in on his opponent David Dewhurst.
.
Just like in Indiana, the Tea Party candidate is surging at just the right time, but we need your immediate support to push him ahead!
Governor Sarah Palin wrote: Were proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your (Ted Cruz) campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.
.
If you haven't heard about Ted Cruz, here is a little about why we have endorsed him and are fighting to send him to Washington:
.
Ted Cruz is a self-professed child of the Reagan revolution. His parents fled Cuba after experiencing an oppressive government and instilled in Ted a profound respect and appreciation for freedom. He understands that it is not our government that makes America run, but our entrepreneurial spirit. He made money as a kid by reciting the Constitution from memory to Rotary Clubs in Texas and giving speeches on free-market economics. . As Solicitor General of Texas from 2003-2008, Cruz authored 80 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued 40 oral arguments, including 9 before the Supreme Court. Named a Republican star rising in Texas and a great Reaganite hope by the National Review, Ted Cruz has led the fight against Obamas offshore drilling moratorium and for private property rights for Americans. His Growth and Jobs Agenda promotes a limited government plan that pledges to repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, kill Cap and Trade, and dramatically simplify the tax code.
Ted Cruz at the Tea Party Express Endorsement Press Conference in Dallas, Texas
We were honored to travel around the great state of Texas with him last month to endorse his campaign and hope that you will be as excited as we are about his candidacy. We just held numerous rallies for Ted Cruz all across Texas this last week to rally support as part of our "Restoring the American Dream" bus tour.
We have a great candidate that we all need to support to send him to Washington!
One of Tea Party Express top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and thanks to patriots like Ted Cruz, we are well on our way to doing just that. But we need your support if we are going to be successful and finish the work we all started in 2010. |

I mentioned that your guy did some good stuff
Very faithful of you to point some of them out.
Well hopefully we will find out what sort of legislator he (Cruz) will be!
I like the Tea Party types better than the "incumbent" types.

I just marked through the duplicate on my monitor with a felt-tip pin.

But it did scratch my monitor. Next time I need to edit onscreen, I’ll use a felt-tipped pen.

Sorry about the typo. The “d” key happens to be next to the “f” key. And I have to type fast and hit send to keep up with all the DDS-ers (Dewhurst Derangement Syndrome).on this forum.
Why would you think that I consider it “dirt” that Cruz is Canadian by birth? I do not, nor do I consider that his Dad who was a Cuban refugee to Canada whose ancestors came to the New World from the Iberian Peninsula of Europe to be of any relevance.
But there is no reason for you to get all excited when I prefer to support the native-born Texas whose life, real property, farms and home, and business interests and family and circle of people are primarily in the state of Texas over one whose connections to the State of Texas, are, shall we say, less substantial?

Oh I guess the way you posted it, and your emotional responses to anything positive about Cruz
So today you learned where the next Senator from Texas was born, and where your keys are on your keyboard.
Good work!
Oh and BTW, Cruz isn't living in Cuba anymore, he lives in Texas and has for a while.
In fact, he works for the state.
Dang, where my gnat swatter??

I'm for some "Tea Party types" and not for others. For instance, I am working hard to get
Dr. Donna Campbell elected as my State Senator for District 25, to replace the RINO, Wentworth. Even if your Rice professor thinks Jeffrey is conservative.
In Liberty and Tyranny, when he was talking about Obama's "change," Mark Levin wrote something that I wish he would review in light of the way that Ted Cruz has chosen to campaign:
"The Conservative believes, as Burke and the Founders did, that prudence must be exercised in assessing change. Prudence is the highest virtue for it is judgment drawn on wisdom. The proposed change should be informed by the experience, knowledge, and traditions of society, tailored for a specific purpose, and accomplished through a constitutional construct that ensures thoughtful deliberation by the community. Change unconstrained by prudence produces unpredictable consequences, threatening ordered liberty with chaos and ultimately despotism, and placing at risk the very principles the Conservative holds dear."
Levin, Mark R. (2009-03-19). Liberty and Tyranny (p. 14). Simon & Schuster, Inc.. Kindle Edition.
The principles of the Conservative are revealed by his decisions and how he reaches his conclusions much more than the end result. Unlike Dr. Campbell and Governor Palin, Cruz chose to destroy, rather than build up.

Well stated. Today, very few catch on to the genius of having state legislatures select US Senators. The framers used human nature (greed and a desire for power) as a source to provide a check on the growth of federal government. The concept was that greedy state legislatures would not select Senators that would allow the federal government to grow and take over areas that would otherwise be handled by the state legislatures (thus keeping the tax base and financial power in-state).
To: hocndoc
Wow, you really seem to hate Cruz, always badmouthing him.
I saw nothing you mentioned when I saw him speak several times.
But I guess it is a winning tactic for you.
Instead of ragging on Cruz, ping me to a thread you have going for Campbell.
Oh and I don't have a Rice professor, good job making it seem so.
Talk about destructive tactics...Kinda like your gnat team mate, make stuff up to make others look bad.
And you critize Cruz for doing that.

Yes. Lately, tag-team pairs have been hounding several FReepers. Different pairs.
To: Resettozero
The irony of badmouthing Cruz for underhanded tactics and lying, and then the Dewhurst supporters lie and mislead, is entertaining.
I haven't seen any threads for their candidates, you would think they would use FR to support them.
Instead of just coming on a Cruz thread to complain.
