David Axelrod privately calls Barack Obama “Black Jesus,” according to Edward Klein’s fantastic new book, The Amateur (p. 59).

“[Barack Obama] is the living, breathing apotheosis of the American melting pot,” Klein quotes Axelrod as saying.

Axelrod, as we know, isn’t alone. According to Klein, Micah Tillman, lecturer in philosophy at the Catholic University of America, called Obama “the Platonic philosopher king we’ve been looking for the past 2,400 years.” And no less an authority than Oprah has called him “The One.”

The black church membership already chooses Obama over Jesus when it backs abortion, same-sex marriage (just endorsed by the black congressional caucus and the NAACP) and anti-semitism.

Love for Jesus is confined to the space within the church walls.

All that’s left is to be honest about it and replace the pictures on the altar.

This is part of the problem. These wackos exist in an echo chamber. They just think they are superior to the rest and that just because they do it, it will be great.

This is why the last four years have been such a disaster, and why reelection is so unlikely. How this group of supposedly smart people decided to shift hard left since 2010 elections rather than go straight to the center and pass some decent legislation with the GOP to ensure four more years, I will never understand. The blueprint worked just 16 years beforehand, and half of that team is still in the executive branch.
