Us Texans have had DEM Gov’s. We have grown Spanish population. Most don’t and will not vote! Texas will be one of the last states to go blue. I can assure you that the Spanish majority do not vote!
Texas was effectively a one party RAT state from roughly 1870-1964 or so. That means Texas Democrats already had almost a century to govern and enact whatever they wanted. (see LBJ, Sam Rayburn, John Nance Gardner, Ma" Ferguson, etc. They had their shot so its not "progress" to turn control back over to them.

I agree. I've met plenty of "Hispanics" who love Obamacare and "gay pride" parades. Is there anything "socially conservative" about Congressmen Rubén Hinojosa, Silvestre Reyes, or Charlie Gonzalez -- all elected from hispanic majority districts in Texas? If the excuse is that hispanics side with the GOP on social issues but vote Democrat for economic reasons, then logically they would choose the most "socially conservative" Democrats in primaries and hispanic districts would be filled with pro-life and pro-traditional marriage Democrat officials. Instead, 70-80% of the time they choose far-left Obama loving Democrats. Hmmm.
