The Reverend Wright thing didn’t work last time and it won’t work this time. Unless Obama said what Wright said on tape the guilt by association won’t fly.

In 2008 Obamas record was imaginary and forward to non ideological voters

This time hes got a governing record of failure and lack of success...that’s where you go after him and you describe plans as to how your vision and goals and what you will implement will actually make vast improvements

I honestly believe Mitt Romney plans on asking John McCain to be his V.P. candidate; if that’s not disturbing enough, imagine the reaction when McBORE says “Yes”. Scary days ahead indeed.

Here we go again !

It’s because he doesn’t want BO to go after Mormonism. This is why he wasn’t the best candidate.

Not good. Politics is a bloodsport.

The use of Wright is perfectly OK. All’s fair

the current state of politics in this country is PATHETIC. I bet it will be just fine for Obama to attack mittens every which way possible.

On ABC today, the breathless Ann Compton referred to Wright as Obama's "onetime pastor." Obama hooked up with Wright sometime around 1987 according to the very loosely dated Dreams. (I get 1987 because after he begins discussing Wright he mentions the funeral of Harold Washington.) He threw Wright under the bus, sort of, in 2008, so that's 20 years or more.

I don't know about other folks but I joined the synagogue of my longtime rabbi in or around 1988 and left there in 2004. That's 16 years.

FUMR! Romney is a low-life coward who will ruthlessly lie about more conservative opponents, but wilts like a dandelion when he faces the left or his martini-sipping minions. I’ll be damned before I shut up about Ayers, Wright, Davis and their sordid like. The last thing the GOP needed was another weak vessel. Stop shuddering and fight like a man, Romney! Bob

Romney is likely doing the right thing with this strategy.

Obama will ONLY lose due to economic conditions. Nothing else. If I were Romney’s campaign manager, I would hammer Obama exclusively on jobs, unemployment, inflation, gas prices, plunging house values, jobs fleeing oversees, coal plants closing.

I would hammer Obama on the economy and ONLY on the economy.

On all social issues, the battle lines are drawn and Romney is not going to catch any independents as a result of harping about social issues, but may scare some voters off by bringing up their sacred cows.

If I am Romney, I hammer Obama ONLY on the economy. If I am losing the last month before the election, I can use the last month to spring all of the other issues on Obama.

I still think hammering Obama on social issues right down to gay marriage and abortion, is just a losing strategy.

I would focus on the economy like a laser, to the exclusion of all else. I would just mercilessly hammer on jobs, unemployment, wages, foreclosures, credit availability, food and gas prices, electricity rates.

Wow, an entire thread full of Freepers who can’t get it through their thick skulls that nothing matters this election except,

“It’s the economy, stupid”.

Thank goodness none of you is advising RINOmney.

Just a hint before I go.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

“IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID”.

Nasty, unscrupulous campaigning against fellow Republicans is one thing that Mittens knows all about.

Attack strategies against Obama, though it certainly would be familiar territory for the Mass.Moderate, isn’t going to be HIS DECISION.

It’ll be the GOP-E who unleashes the PACs...or not. And if the pitbulls are let out of the cage, we already know that Willard will claim ignorance like he did in the primary...so as to remain above the fray.

Now knowing what we do about the GOP-E, does anyone expect them to do the right thing(for once) and go after BO with oozies?
I would guess they will screw it up, just like they do everything else.
