Obama puts on a passable stereotypical black accent too when it suits him. The guy was raised by white people in Hawaii, but when the situation is right, he can conjure up a slight ghetto dialect.

Also, it's not uncommon for kids who end up moving a lot, especially the chameleon types like obama, to do what they can to quickly blend in.
It's damn hard being the new kid and you learn the tricks if you move often enough: clothing/style, accent, etc.
This is second nature for professional politicians who change what they need to in order to convince an audience they are one of them.
