By your description I would consider your daughter a natural born citizen. Perhaps not if she were as old or older than McCain according to the Chin opinion although he lays out other factors other than just the one change of law he hinges his opinion on. But both the Tribe/Olson and Chin briefs are opinions that have never seen the inside of a SCOTUS chamber. Minor vs. Happersett has and that can be viewed as "settled law."

At any rate; Chin's opinion is interesting food for thought and nothing more. It is not some leftist's wild attempt to twist the law as was suggested above.

It has never been cited by the courts in connection with eligibility for the Presidency under the Constitution.
