bored at work, I decided to wander over to the New York Times website to see how they're viewing the world today, insofar as one can see that from looking at things on their website accessible for free, as I (obviously) refuse to give them any of my money. I happened across this ridiculosity, which I post here for the amusement of my fellow freepers. It's one of a series of essays about what Obama can do to improve his vote-getting ability. My favorite paragraph:
Older, rural, white men, especially in the South, are probably out of reach for the president because race is likely a factor with them. So he has to focus on better educated, more tolerant, moderately upscale suburban men – Soccer Dads. Both men and women find Obama equally likeable but they dramatically split on whether he shares their values, according to a recent CNN/ORC International poll.

I told my kids to stay away from any car and car owner that has that many bumper stickers. Regardless of what they say.
Reading the comments after articles like this really back up my thought that we may be too far gone to save this great nation.
The people who posted in the comments section are some of the most weak minded fools I have ever read. These people are a danger to this nation as a whole and I think the only solution will be to split the nation in half. The liberals can have their utopia and the conservatives will implement the economic model that will crush the liberal half.

You know as well as I do that they wouldn’t let us depart and live in peace because it’s inherent in their ideology that people have to all live by their rules or... not live.
My granddaughter plays soccer, her dad, my son, is therefore a “soccer dad.” Oh, he’s also a senior US Army NCO infantryman. Do you think he’ll get a letter from the bastard squatting in our white house?

I’ve seen Priuses with just as many stickers as these two. I always chuckle when I see one. I don’t think the owners realize how it makes them appear. But, for me, it’s always a good laugh to see idiots advertising their idiocy — so no one has any doubt. It simultaneously identifies all the causes on the stickers on the Prius as nutcase causes and sentiments! I half expect to see a sticker saying. “I’m a Looney Left Nutcase Who Escaped the Insane Asylum and I’m Proud of It!”
The Times has been in the tank for leftists and communists since the 1920’s when their “reporter”, Walter Duranty, was in the USSR sending back glowing reports about the glories of Stalin’s worker paradise. These reports were all lies. Duranty repackaged Soviet propaganda as news stories and the gullible editors at the Times dutifully printed them. Duranty was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his “reporting”, but it was revoked when the extent of his perfidy was revealed in the 1930s. The Times, however, has steadfastly refused to give back the Pulitzer.

I am sick and tired of this false narrative about Obama and Osama Bin Ladin. Obama did nothing to “hunt down Osama Bin Ladin”. That work was done by the intelligence operatives during the Bush Administration. These are the same people the Obama Administration has threatened to prosecute for violating the rights of terrorists.
Obama had nothing to do with planning or executing the operation. Obama was on the golf course when the Navy Seal Team was dispatched. Obama drafted documents to blame McRaven and say he had nothing to do with the operation if it had gone wrong.
Obama and the media have shamelessly bragged about the mission since it took place. Obama publicly bragging about the mission allowed the Chinese to capture the downed helicopter and get the technology involved.
The government knew Osama’s location since 2009. Obama had absolutely nothing to do with this. It has never been explained why Obama waited over two years to take action.
