The Bailouts
so much more in the 40 minute sit-down on Washington Journal
Thank ya kindly.
I knew Goode voted against the bailouts because he was stripped of party funding in that campaign like my congressman was. I believe they stripped Michele Bachmann of funding too but she pulled out a win anyway. My congressman lost by 2% that year but we reelected him in 2010.
Real Conservatives like this Virigl Goode, Sarah and others we could A: take back the GOP (if Mittens hasn't pulled it irrevocably to the left yet) B: get enough Conservatives elected to office, and then the Repub's refuse to support them we jump ship and strike out on our own.
Watch the video and ask yourself:
Would I rather have Obama, Romney, or Goode as my president?
And what makes this “breaking news?”
It’s the first major interview of a presidential candidate.
It's the first major interview of a presidential candidate.
There will be very few candidates from recognized parties, and Virgil Goode is the only experienced, well-known conservative in this 2012 election.
More relevant than most of these:

I don't disagree with what he says but he is a PR nightmare.

In accordance with FR custom:
- Goode was elected as an independent and switched to the Democrat party.
- Major campaign focus was for passage for the Equal Rights Amendment.
- Big supporter of Democrat L. Douglas Wilder, nominated him for Lt. Gov. at Dem convention. Wilder went on to crack down on gun sales as Governor.
- Lost to Democrat U.S. Senator Chuck Robb in Democrat primary.
- Elected to U.S. House as a Democrat, caucused with democrats until 2000, switching to independent, then Republican.
- 2008 lost to Democrat Tom Perriello
- 2010 Filed paperwork with FEC to allow him to raise money for rematch, announced in late July 2009 that he would not run.
Even if I were for Goode, there is no way I could call this “Breaking News.”
You made me watch the video. Blech. I recommend his supporters stick to print and bury any video or audio of him. I think I know now why he didn’t chance a run in the GOP primary.
I agree with you. He makes Bush look like a master orator. I think the House was Goode’s high watermark in political campaigning and he lost that to a Dem. But hey, his party is “ballot eligible” in 17 states.
Best thing would be for Americans Elect to get on ballot in VIrginia with someone who will bleed the democrats equal to whatever pittance Goode gets.

Virgil did a good job. The old boy can hold his own.
I agree with him. With unemployment at 9-11%, why the heck are we bringing in one and a half million LEGALS who do nothing except take American jobs?
Wow. If you watched the video, LVR, then we watched an entirely different video.
I thought he was right on the money, clear, to the point, honest, and insightful.
I looked up his voting record in his democrat years.
His ACU rating was more conservative than all but four or five republicans. He doubled Zell Miller’s ratings, and Zell was always held up by Hannity and crew as the ideal democrat.
He voted to IMPEACH Clinton....something that didn’t happen with all republicans in the house, and very, very few in the Senate.
As he says, he came up in the Virginia ranks as a conservative Virginia democrat where democrats were conservative. I remember those years. I was a conservative Ohio democrat and my family were conservative N Carolina democrats.
But, his principles remained the same. He voted for conservative issues.
He has a perfect pro-life record. A pro-life, pro-God, pro-Gun, pro-fiscal sanity, pro-small government record.
Now...you tell me that Mitt Romney is a conservative.
Disagree. It’s the first interview with one of the nation’s few presidential candidates.
Other recent breaking news has been about ABC canceling a sitcom.
Gimmeabreak!
I want Palin... But she has the same chance as Goode- zilch!
