An announcement from Rep. Ron Paul indicates that the Republican presidential candidate will no longer actively campaign for the GOP nomination, but will continue to work to secure delegates at upcoming Republican state conventions.
"Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted," said Paul, in a statement released Monday afternoon. "Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have."

Ron Paul and Lyndon LaRouche are soul mates
O and Obama won’t?
I’m voting for the last man standing at the Republican Convention in November..If that is Romney so be it..I want Obama out of the White house!
Ron Paul who? :)
I guess he was spending more than he was taking in. He knew he had no chance, but also knew he could take home any extra money. That is what the surrender monkey was after.
Would you vote for Obama if he changed parties from dem to republican?
Before you say no, just understand that by supporting Romney you are essentially saying yes. At least the socialist part of Obama.
I believe he will be dealing with a much more Conservative Congress if he wins and that will temper him..After all he was Gov of Massachusetts...a very liberal state.
Then you have learned nothing from history.
I dont mean that as an insult either, just an observation.
Do you really believe that the gop will go against the “leader” of the gop? Truthfully, SOME will, but their NAY votes will be replaced by AYE votes from the dem party.
That is what WILL happen. I mean you can live in happy unicorn super fun fantasy land if you wish, but its not reality.
I accept that you disagree with me.
Please accept that I have read a lot..I know all about the candidates and their positions..My picks did not make it..
I will do as I said..vote for the only candidate that has a chance of beating the Obamantion .
Thats fine...
But please... join me and others in calling for the GOP to do WHATEVER is NECESSARY during the convention to make sure that Romney does NOT get the nomination.
Only a REAL and tangible show of force is going to keep romney away from the nomination. DO NOT get caught up in the “inevitability” of Romney. Just as with any other “system” their IS a way to legally get something done. If enough people DEMAND a brokered convention over threat of puling support from the GOP after the convention they WILL find a way to drop Romney. Sometimes its a virtue to use any loophole or small procedural tactic to WIN against EVIL because the win is WORTH IT.
Its just sad that so many of you just throw up your hands and give up rather than fight for what is right.
No. Paul can't stop Romney. Never a chance of that from the beginning. Paul can be a nuisance at some of the local and state conventions, but all the sound and fury simply don't add up to near enough delegates to have any real impact.
Does anyone really believe that the PTB and their media puppets didn’t hand pick Romney 6 months ago? The others such as Cain, Perry, Paul, Bachmann, Newt, Santorum, Huntsman, Pawlenty, etc were put in the race as frothy icing just to make us little people think we had a choice.
Sorry but that’s the way I see it. The only question now is which Party was chosen to ride the seesaw to the top. It’s a charade and trade-off.
We in swing states typically vote on a black box that magically transfers our vote electronically any which way they want it and there is no paper record or audit trail. Both Parties like it that way too. It gives them the real control. Instead the Parties have made a big deal out of voter ID.
“Newt was right all along.”
Isn’t he always ?
The way Paul trashed Newt was disgraceful. Watching that old Jew hater eat crow makes the pain subside a little.
Me too, FRiend. Me too.
Nanny, nanny, boo-boo!
RuPaul’s legacy is doo-doo!
LOLOL. I hear you on that! Ole Ron Paul finally ran out of money, too.
