An announcement from Rep. Ron Paul indicates that the Republican presidential candidate will no longer actively campaign for the GOP nomination, but will continue to work to secure delegates at upcoming Republican state conventions.
"Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted," said Paul, in a statement released Monday afternoon. "Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have."

What? What do you want?
“Not that Paul was a factor, but Im pissed at the primary system that denies Texas a voice.”
What the freak are you talking about?
It wasn't even the popular vote, but the caucus vote, which then went to the convention level, etc. In states that use a primary system as opposed to a caucus system, the popular vote determines how many delegates a candidate will receive (and those will be allocated proportionately or winner-take-all).
Because none less than the Romney team recently admitted that they expect Ron Paul will get 20 out of Iowa's 28 delegate votes. And that's happening all over the country.
See my previous post; unless Paul can win states, this delegate strategy will not prove fruitful.
ie, the primary is over before Texas gets a chance to vote. Early voting started today.
He means the candidate is already decided before the Texas primary.
Why should Iowa and New Hampshire decide the candidate? We should have a national primary day.
He's going rogue. The Constitution Party already has our man, and so does the Libertarian. He'll have to get his own party now.
Coinkidink?
The expected republican candidate is pro life and pro 2nd amnendment rights.
If that is the result of a conversion there is no reason to feel bad about it.
I understand that but considering Ron (psycho) Paul has never been a factor, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
Will anybody notice?..........
I want this to be LRon's last political campaign. But I'm skeptical(?); and yet hopeful(!).
What? Why So Sirius?
Had you noticed that all the candidates have dropped out before we get vote?
Again?
It's been all over the intarwebs and stuff.
I hear ya. I'm skeptical, too. He said he's ending his pursuit of the GOP nomination. That raises all kinds of red flags.
Rand would make a fine VP candidate.
Ron Paul does have the power to block Romney.
What he never had is the power to actually get the nomination himself. He will benefit another cinderella.
Thus excluding Romney
"If that is the result of a conversion disgusting lie there is no every reason to feel bad about it"
You can vote uncommitted in the Texas primary, which is what I will be doing. If enough people do it, then Texas can have a voice.
I heard Mark Levin talking about a Paul-Romney connection. It was his Feb 23 show. I don't remember what it was. He was pretty upset about it. He's not a fan of either of them.
Of course Ron Paul’s ending campaigning.
He’s successfully destroyed Santorum’s chances at the nomination. What else is there to do?
