The topic? Romney's decades-old alleged bullying, natch. And without a shred of irony, host Tamron Hall bullies conservative guest Tim Carney right off the air:
After fight with Tim Carney, MSNBC host Tamron Hall mutes mic
Hall was peeved that Carney had the audacity to call the media out on its "meta" narrative-building BS, so she got all huffy and cut his mic. For the record, Carney says he actually was addressing the issue he was booked to discuss:
@TPCarney: The question I was sent for the Romney bullying segment was "Does the story matter?" So I was answering it, not dodging.
I hope you stuck with the clip above to the bitter end, when Hall pulls up the shot of Carney to scold him again -- but with his microphone muted so he literally cannot respond. Yet he's the ingracious one, in her book. Bizarre. Meanwhile, I was over on Fox News discussing the Democrats' pickle in North Carolina. They've planned their convention in a state that they'll probably now lose in the fall; NC's gay marriage amendment just passed by an overwhelming margin, and now some liberals are calling for a boycott or relocation of the confab. I broke these issues down with Lefty Fox News contributor Sally Kohn and host Megyn Kelly. Our bit was much more jovial than the MSNBC showdown, but I'd still encourage you to watch to the very end for an enjoyable one-liner about the president's self regard:
Guy Benson speaks about NC Gay Marriage Convention
The women is a facist with no manners. No wonder no one watches this channel.
Who really watches this show or media channel?
A person of limited intelligence can’t handle an honest discussion.
A person who sees disagreement as a personal attack can’t handle an honest discussion.
This MSNBC fits both categories.
Particularly telling, “This is my house.” Translation: “How dare you challenge me!”
Just one example of why their nickname is “MSLSD”.
Liberals, in general, cannot handle the truth and attempt to silence those that speak it.
It is all part of the “show” intended to instruct their robotic following on how to behave towards Americans...
If we are going to dig into Romney’s teen years let’s dig into Obama’s past.
This media thing with Romney’s high school history is clear and total BS when they wont even look at Obama’s history.
Dig into anyone’s HS history and you can come up with something.I know mine wasn’t as a pure humane sober virgin.
I quickly learned that the way to stop bullying was to kick one bully’s ass then the problem went away.
Today kids aren’t allowed to solve their own problems and learn lessons that carry them through life.
Mitt was right.
The media gets to ask the questions they want, and I get to give the answers I want.
She did the media equivalent of libs “de-friending” those they disagree with on Facebook.
I actually thought she might be Robin Roberts’ gay lover.
She was anticipating that he would do this - whether or not he actually did - because she was projecting the lefts’ tactics on the situation. This is what the left does: they reply by launching a diatribe unrelated to the question that was posed. That’s their MO. Actually, the bait-and-switch occurred on PMSNBC’s part because the topic Carney was told he would be discussing was whether the bullying rumor was relevant.
You raise a good point...if Romney’s childhood is on the table...why can’t we see Obama’s grades? In the book ghost written for him by Bill Ayers...he admits to taking every drug he could get his hands on.
Obama also admits he “staggered” through high school...drunk or stoned. Yet he got into Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard.
Think affirmative action. Why is nobody in the msm interested in this...if they are interested in Romney’s high school career?
Huge double-standard. Many in the msm must be on the take. I suspect there are off-shore bank accounts set up for prominent “reporters”.
There should be an investigation by Congress.
Liberals can’t win on issues; All they can do is shut you up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It amazes me how the Left is running with this non-story from a half-century ago.
I guess my question is; Why would Tim Carney appear on MSNBC? Anyone smart enough to make a cogent argument in Romney’s favor should be savvy enough to know that he/she ain’t gonna get a fair shot on MSNBC.
My suspicions were confirmed.
Actually she’s dating Lawrence O’Donnell.
Hall is another affirmative action hire, just as her hero, Zero.
This indicates an increasing polarization of the news audience: the Right watches Fox, the Left watches MSNBC, and the middle watches CNN. And the middle is fairly small.
